  • Patent number: 11926291
Abstract: A cleaning system is disclosed for cleaning concrete residue from a concrete mixer truck. The cleaning system may include a water delivery system having one or more conduits configured to deliver pressurized water to one or more spray headers positioned at various back-end portions of the truck. The cleaning system further includes one or more valves configured to control the flow of pressurized water through the one or more conduits to the one or more spray headers. In various embodiments, the one or more valves are manually operable to control the release of water to the spray headers. In other embodiments, the one or more valves are controlled by a computing device through an electrical coupling such as a communication bus. The cleaning system may be configured to clean different portions of the truck using different sets of spray headers at different times as part of a washing protocol.

  • Patent number: 11678127
Abstract: A method operates a hearing system having a hearing device and modifies an input signal for the purpose of sound output to a user and, applies multiple algorithms with a respective potency, as a result of which a respective algorithm is applied with a present potency in a present situation. The hearing system recurrently receives a report from the user indicating that the user is dissatisfied with the sound output in the present situation. The hearing system has a database, containing multiple weights for each algorithm, to rate a change of the potency. If a report is received, each of the algorithms is rated using the weights to ascertain an individual-case relevance for each of the algorithms, to assess the effect of a change of the potency. Multiple individual-case relevances are combined to form a relevance value for each algorithm, the relevance values are compared with one another.

  • Publication number: 20220021987
Abstract: A method is specified for identifying an interference effect. The hearing system includes a hearing device, which is worn by a user for sound output to the user. The hearing system is configured to recurrently receive a report from the user such that an interference effect is present in the sound output. If the user reports an interference effect in a present situation, multiple features of the present situation are ascertained and stored as a feature set. An identification unit compares multiple stored feature sets to one another and ascertains those features which correspond in the multiple feature sets and which are then assumed as characteristic features of the interference effect, so that the identification unit identifies the interference effect on the basis of the characteristic features.

  • Patent number: 10871124
Abstract: At least one coated valve seat region has at least one first layer and a second layer, the second layer is arranged on the first layer, and the first layer and the second layer are different. The first layer and the second layer are each formed by a local thermal deposition welding method. In the case of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, a valve seat region is formed by depositing a first layer on a substrate material of the valve seat by a laser deposition welding method in one method step and, in a subsequent method step, depositing a second layer on the first layer by a laser deposition welding method. The second layer contains a material which exerts a material hardening effect.

  • Patent number: 8265288
Abstract: The provision of an individually adapted hearing aid for a patient is intended to be effected more quickly. A method is therefore provided by which, firstly, hearing loss data, in particular an audiogram, are generated by a person skilled in the art for example an ENT specialist, and the hearing loss data are transmitted to a manufacturer. Using a perceptive model based on the hearing loss data, the manufacturer selects a hearing aid and matches the hearing aid to the patient by means of the perceptive model. Finally, the manufacturer delivers the adapted hearing aid directly or indirectly to the patient. Due to the simplified workflow during the adaptation, the waiting times for the provision of the hearing aid are reduced for the patient.

  • Patent number: 8155359
Abstract: Hearing-aid wearers should be able to converse unimpeded even in noisy environments. Provided for this is a hearing system with a first hearing device, a second hearing device and a remote control for the operation of the first and/or second hearing device. The remote control is embodied as a base station to which the first and second hearing device is able to log on to establish a spontaneous communication network. This facilitates a wireless communication using a remote control as a relay station and without the influence of background noise.

  • Patent number: 8139779
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to make using a hearing device and in particular a hearing aid more comfortable and more effective for the user. To this end the setting of a portable hearing device is to be checked. First the acoustic data of a sound from the environment of the hearing device is recorded and/or determined simultaneously with the setting of the hearing device with at least one setting value. The setting of the hearing device is evaluated against the chronologically matching, recorded acoustic data in the hearing device using at least one predeterminable criterion. If necessary, the hearing device outputs an appropriate message. By this means a hearing aid wearer can, for example, be alerted to contact an acoustician, if the settings he made on the hearing aid are not effective.

  • Publication number: 20110286616
Abstract: Hearing devices and, more particularly hearing aids, can be inserted into the auditory canal in an improved fashion. A hearing device has a first unit, which can be completely inserted within a human auditory canal. The first unit has a first housing into which a sound-recording element, a receiver and, connected therebetween, an amplifier are integrated. The hearing device moreover has a second unit, which is outside of the first housing and can be inserted into the human auditory canal in addition to the first unit. The second unit is galvanically connected to the first unit and configured for wireless energy absorption and for supplying the first unit with current. Hence, the first unit, together with the second unit, does not require a battery as an energy source and can thus have a smaller configuration, and therefore it can optionally be introduced further into the auditory canal.
