Abstract: An installation for separating carbon dioxide from ambient air is disclosed. The installation includes an adsorption chamber configured to bind carbon dioxide from ambient air to a sorbent, a desorption chamber configured to release carbon dioxide from the sorbent, and a cooling chamber configured to cool the sorbent after desorption. A heating mechanism is disposed within the desorption chamber to facilitate the release of carbon dioxide. The installation further includes a continuous belt configured to support or contain the sorbent and a drive element configured to transport the continuous belt through the adsorption chamber, the desorption chamber, and the cooling chamber. Also disclosed is a method for separating carbon dioxide from ambient air using the installation.

  • Publication number: 20250367588
Abstract: A temperature control system regulates the temperature of a sorbent packing for extracting carbon dioxide from a gaseous medium. The system includes a tube system with a tube and a lamella system within the sorbent packing, featuring an elongated lamella. The tube extends along and contacts the longitudinal direction of the lamella. A sorbent container system incorporates this temperature control system, and a device for extracting carbon dioxide from the gaseous medium includes the temperature control system and/or the sorbent container system.

  • Patent number: 11181051
Abstract: A mixture formation device for an internal combustion engine operated with a burnable gas, preferably compressed natural gas CNG, comprises a combination of a quantity regulator, a gas mixer, a flow-guiding element for pressure recovery, and a connection possibility for exhaust gas recirculation of the internal combustion engine. The mixture formation device according to the invention can empty a gas tank to a comparatively low pressure of approx. 2 bar, an excellent mixture formation being achieved over the entire range of speed and load range of the internal combustion engine. According to the invention, such a mixture formation device can reduce production costs as well as space requirements compared to known solutions. An internal combustion engine operated with a burnable gas, particularly compressed natural gas (CNG), may also comprise such a mixture formation device in the intake tract thereof.

  • Publication number: 20200032722
Abstract: The invention relates to a mixture formation device for an internal combustion engine that is operated with a combustible gas, preferably compressed natural gas (CNG). The mixture formation device comprises a combination of a quantity regulator, a gas mixer, a flow guide element to recover pressure as well as a connection capability for recirculating the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine. Owing to the mixture formation device according to the invention, a gas tank can be emptied down to a relatively low pressure of approximately 2 bar, whereby an excellent mixture formation is achieved over the entire speed and load ranges of the internal combustion engine. It is provided that, owing to the mixture formation device according to the invention, the installation space requirements as well as the production costs can be reduced in comparison to prior-art solutions.
