  • Patent number: 10387519
Abstract: Disclosed is a system, method, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium for creating personalized instantiations of an app. User input is accepted to create, by a computing device, a personalized instantiation of an app, the app comprising a home screen, the creating of the personalized instantiation occurring by generating a deep linked shortcut on the home screen of the app that links into the app with parameters to configure the app into the personalized instantiation of the app. A display is generated for displaying, on the computing device, the personalized instantiation of the app so that the personalized instantiation of the app can be launched as configured with the parameters.

  • Patent number: 9305087
Abstract: A server [115] or client-based content storage unit includes a communication device [300] to receive data corresponding to a transfer of at least one of media content and a link to the media content, from a first user [120] to a second user [125]. The communication device [300] also receives data corresponding to usage of the media content by the second user [125], and transmits some representation of a content capital to the first user [120]. A content usage aggregator [315] receives information corresponding to the usage of the media content by the second user [125]. A content usage evaluator [310] determines the content capital based on an aggregation of monitored use of the media content by the second user [125].

  • Publication number: 20070073694
Abstract: Access rights to content items, such as personal photos etc, is determined in response to content metadata and requester metadata. A plurality of content items is stored in a content item store. An access right processor determines content metadata for the plurality of content items. When a request for a content item is determined, the access right processor determines requester metadata for the request. The requester metadata comprises data of a characteristic of a requester of the request. The access right processor then determines access rights in response to the content metadata and the requester metadata. If a positive access right is determined, the requested content item may be sent to the requester. The access right may further be determined in response to past usage data or context data for the content items. The invention may allow an improved and automated access right management.

  • Publication number: 20050098962
Abstract: The elastomeric static gasket is disclosed where a thin carrier is used to support a stopper member and an elastomeric seal member on the same surface of the carrier. An elastomeric seal is molded adjacent to the stopper. The stopper member acts as a compression limiter to limit the compressive forces on the seal. Preferably the stopper is an elastomer. Alternatively, the seal can be made with a different material than the stopper member. A variety of carrier members may be used in practicing the invention.

  • Publication number: 20050028467
Abstract: A form system comprises several form units (100), each having a pair of panels (108) positioned in spaced relation to each other. A plurality of tie members (104) connects the panels, the tie member comprising a spacer member (112) disposed transversely between the panels. Each tie member further comprises a pair unit connecting members (116), one positioned on each of an outside surface of a panel. The spacer members are each connected to a first unit and a second unit connecting member through the first opening in the panels. The first and second unit connecting members have first and second connections respectively, to permit the first and second unit connecting members of a first form unit to be connected with corresponding first and second connecting members or a second form unit.

  • Patent number: 6210337
Abstract: An ultrasonic endoscopic probe is provided with an articulating distal tip at which and ultrasonic transducer is located. The articulating section of the probe can be locked in an articulated position by a lock control located at a control section of the probe. The locking force is variably selectable by the user, so that the articulating section will be locked in position by a desired force. The articulating section is controlled by cables, which include cable tension adjustments that also serve to delimit the range of articulation. The articulating section is formed of alternating pivot rings with intervening polymeric pivot beads, which provide repetitively smooth articulation. The ultrasonic transducer is rotatable to steer the acoustic scan plane during use, and a sliding membrane between the transducer and its acoustic window allows the transducer to rotate smoothly without sticking.

  • Patent number: 4123822
Abstract: A pinless hinge structure including first and second members, with the first member having a slot therein and also having first and second bearing surfaces on opposed sides of the slot, and with the second member having opposed, generally convex and concave surfaces. When the first and second members are assembled to form the hinge structure, the generally convex and concave surfaces of the second member face the first and second bearing surfaces, respectively, to enable the first and second members to pivot with respect to each other.
