  • Publication number: 20220137044
Abstract: A method functionalizes a surface, wherein a polyphenol layer is formed on the surface by applying a polyphenol compound, and the surface is subsequently functionalized by binding a functional molecule to the polyphenol layer. In addition, the polyphenol layer is treated with an oxidizing agent before, during, or after binding of the functional molecule. An associated article can be prepared and used. A kit can be used for performing the method or producing the article.

  • Patent number: 9234883
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for analyzing sample fluids, in particular for analyzing blood samples, for example for the purpose of determining the glucose content, with the same apparatus. A cavity delimited by a carrier tape is hereby positioned above a sensor surface, sample fluid is received in the cavity, at least one value of the sample fluid is measured, the cavity containing the sample fluid is removed from the sensor surface, and a regeneration agent is supplied to the sensor surface by way of the carrier tape.

Date of Patent: January 12, 2016
Assignee: BST Bio Sensor Technology GmbH

  • Patent number: 7892857
Abstract: The invention relates to an assay method and a fluid microsystem for carrying out said assay method, in particular, for carrying out miniaturized affinity tests in a micro-array format. According to said invention, a liquid phase comprising at least one type of detectable high-molecular weight soluble substance, for example a labeled reaction partner or product of an affinity reaction is displaced by the hydraulic effect of a high-molecular weight osmotic agent on an ultrafiltration membrane towards a miniaturized measuring chamber defined thereby. The fraction of the detectable high-molecular weight substance(s) is concentrated in the measuring chamber, while the dissolved low-molecular weight components are removed with the solvent through the membrane pores, thereby making it possible to attain a high detection sensitivity.

  • Publication number: 20100324215
Abstract: A method for producing affinity binders having affinitive or highly affinitive binding structures for non-covalent interaction types includes a) contacting a target substance with at least one ligand which is capable of non-covalently binding to the target substance for a sufficient time that the at least one ligand can specifically attach to target regions of the target substance and form a ligand-target substance complex; b) embedding the complex in a structure-providing component and fixing by binding the ligand(s) of the complex to the structure-providing component; and c) removing the target substance such that a structure with a defined spatial arrangement of the ligand(s) is formed which has capacity to specifically bind the respective target substance again.
