  • Publication number: 20240008996
Abstract: An implant, in particular for supporting the spinal column, the height of which implant can be adjusted by rotating, about an axial axis, a drive part which is supported axially with respect to a first support part and which is provided with: an external thread that interacts with an internal thread of a second support part that is axially movable with respect to the first support part but cannot be moved rotationally; and, on the axial side thereof facing the first support part, toothing that is accessible through an access that leads radially through the first support part. The implant includes a support region of the support of the drive part, the support region being located azimuthally in the region of the access and in particular radially further inwards than the toothing.

  • Patent number: 9138326
Abstract: A joint implant includes an upper and a lower implant part which are connected to each other, and a longitudinal axis of the implant. The implant parts each include a joint part having a joint region and an abutment part that can be abutted against the respective bone. The joint part and the abutment part are detachably connected to each other. The two joint parts each include a joint region and cooperate with each other, thus forming the articulated connection, or with an intermediate element having opposite upper and lower sides as abutment surfaces, thus forming two sub-joint. A connecting device interconnects the upper and lower implant part so as to form a coherent assembly and that can change its position relative to the upper and/or lower joint part.

  • Patent number: 8545561
Abstract: An artificial disc having a pair of opposing plates (100) for seating against opposing vertebral bone surfaces separated by an inner stress distributor and spacer device (300) called in this specification a supporting element, functioning as both a spacer and structural support. Various plate geometries are disclosed including ones with flat outer faces and ones with convex outer faces to conform to the adjacent vertebral mating surface geometry. Inner surfaces are described as comprising two sloping substantially flat or curved surfaces meeting at an ridgeline with a radius. Various inner device embodiments are disclosed including circular ones and non-circular ones, plate flat ones, ones with a raised rim or circular recess, ones with raised hubs and ones with an elastomeric planar core to perform a shock-absorbing function, ones with central bore and ones with no central bore. Inner spacers comprising various combinations of these features are disclosed.
