  • Publication number: 20150135692
Abstract: A device for guiding a gas stream defines an inlet opening, an outlet opening and at least one angular offset which diverts the gas stream. The shell is assembled from a first shell part and a second shell part, wherein the first shell part defines the inlet opening and the outlet opening and has at least one connecting structure for the gas-tight connection of the device to a further gas-guiding component, and wherein the second shell part is configured to enclose the inlet opening and the outlet opening of the first shell part.

  • Patent number: 8341952
Abstract: An exhaust gas system includes an exhaust manifold, in particular a single-wall exhaust manifold, which includes a plurality of inlet pipes for connection to exhaust gas outlets of an internal combustion engine and a collector device for the combining of the inlet pipes. The collector device has an outlet opening which is connected to downstream elements of the exhaust gas system, wherein the collector device is resistant to bending and the inlet pipes are comparatively flexible with respect to the collector device. The collector device includes an inlet pipe stub which is likewise resistant to bending and which is made for the direct connection to an exhaust gas outlet of an internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 7578124
Abstract: An exhaust system for a combustion engine which comprises at least one exhaust manifold with a plurality of inlet pipes for connection to exhaust ports of the combustion engine. The exhaust system comprises a collector device for merging of the inlet pipes, which has one outlet opening. The outlet opening is connected to subsequent elements of the exhaust system, such as catalytic converter housing. The catalytic converter inflow pipe is guided up to just before the catalytic converter; and the catalytic converter housing is connected directly to the collector housing via a pipe surrounding the catalytic converter inflow pipe. The collector device is made as a one-piece collector housing of a material stiff in bending.
