  • Publication number: 20250037517
Abstract: Presented are vehicle systems and control logic for provisioning self-detection and violation-notification capabilities for connected vehicles, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A method of controlling operation of a host vehicle includes a resident or remote vehicle controller or network of controllers determining if a wireless communications device of the host vehicle has an active wireless connection with a remote computing node. If so, the vehicle controller(s) receive, from the remote computing node via the wireless communications device, a wireless message containing an emergency alert and culprit data indicative of a target vehicle. The vehicle controller(s) then parse the culprit data from the wireless message and analyze the parsed culprit data to determine if the host vehicle is the target vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10115101
Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product are provided for wireless establishment of identity via bi-directional radio-frequency identification (RFID). The method is implemented in a computer infrastructure having computer executable code tangibly embodied on a computer readable storage medium having programming instructions operable for sending device data including at least a username and a password to a transceiver. The method also includes receiving an identifier of an access point in a wireless network from the transceiver, the transceiver sending the device data to the access point via a security server. The device data is sent to the access point based on the identifier of the access point, the access point establishing a secure connection to the computer infrastructure based on the device data received from the transceiver and the computer infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 8789156
Abstract: A tool for establishing a wireless connection from a mobile device to another device in proximity to the mobile device. The mobile device receives requests for data, such as a user profile, medical records, etc. from the device. The mobile device has the ability to register/preapprove the requesting device allowing the device to access the requested data. The mobile device also has the ability to give varying devices different authorization levels. The mobile device has the ability to store the data on another system, and in response to the request, validate the requesting device and the device's authorization level, request the data from the other system through a network, and return the data to the requesting device.
