  • Patent number: 5184481
Abstract: A novelty jewelry article and method of making same includes a swinging ornament which is suspended within a hoop. The hoop is hollow and has a seam along the inside edge thereof. A pair of holes are drilled along the seam a predetermined distance from each open end of the hoop. The seam above the holes is spread apart. A monofilament having metallic balls crimped to opposing ends thereof is assembled with the hoop wherein the balls are inserted into the open ends of the hoop until the filament reaches the drilled holes and stretches tautly across the hoop.
