Abstract: Modular articles of clothing with interchangeable components include connectible and interchangeable clothing components with integrated loops and connecting elements for assembly thereof. The components have integrated loops for inserting a connecting element or strap. The connecting element has an encircling elongate member, two opposing ends with a break therebetween in a closed position sufficiently small to prevent insertion or slippage of the integrated loop therethrough. The connecting element is deformable out of the plane of the encircling elongate member to form a transverse gap between the ends in the open position sufficient for inserting an end into the integrated loop. The connecting element maintains the open position without elastic return and is returnable to the closed position by twisting the ends to close the gap upon assembly of components. A kit comprises the components and a tote bag for carrying them.

Abstract: An interchangeable swimsuit comprising a top having a left cup and a right cup for covering a wearer's breasts where each of the cups has a plurality of integrated loops disposed on each of the cups, as well as a clip and/or strap for releasably attaching the left cup to the right cup; and a bottom having a generally triangular shaped front panel and a generally triangular shaped back panel with each panel having two hip vertices and a crotch vertex which are interchangeably mated to another, as well as a clip and/or strap for releasably attaching the hip vertices and a hook and loop and/or an additional fastener for releasably attaching the crotch vertex.
