    Abstract: A modular high-density power distribution panel assembly (MHDPDPA) for large critical loads includes a high current-rated panel defined by a configurable height; and a bus bar assembly. The panel flexibly accommodates a configurable number of breakers of different types and sizes in each row with a high current density. The breakers include 80%-rated and 100%-rated breakers, rated at currents from about 100 amperes to about 1200 amperes. The bus bar assembly includes a main bus, bus kits selectively configured for accommodating and supporting the breakers of different currents and current densities, and back stabs that feed the main bus. The MHDPDPA is rated at currents from about 2000 amperes to about 6000 amperes; has a compact footprint; achieves a high current density per row and a high short circuit rating of about 200 kiloamperes at 480 V and about 100 kiloamperes at 600 V; and is free of cooling requirements.

    Abstract: Modular plug-in power distribution panels and methods for assembling such power distribution panels are provided. A power distribution panels includes an electrical enclosure configured to accommodate a panelboard therewithin. The power distribution panel also includes a bus bar assembly comprising a plurality of bus bars mounted on the panelboard. The power distribution panel also includes a plurality of plug-in bases connected to the bus bar assembly. The plurality of plug-in bases are configured to connect a plurality of cables during initial installation. The plurality of plug-in bases are configured to detachably connect to a plurality of plug-in breakers without shutting power down. The power distribution panel also includes one or more barriers configured to direct gases produced within the electrical enclosure out of the electrical enclosure to an external environment.

Multiple plug-in bases are operably coupled to the bus bar assembly. Configurable 100%-rated, 150 A/250 A/400 A/600 A plug-in breakers are detachably coupled to the plug-in bases without having to power down a main power or the critical loads. One or more barriers are provided for the plug-in breakers to securely direct gases produced within the electrical enclosure, out of the electrical enclosure to an external environment.
