Patent number: 10493923Abstract: A vehicle seat having a vehicle seat hook assembly for hanging an associated object on the vehicle seat includes a seat back having a front side, a rear side, and an upper distal portion and a headrest moveably secured to the upper distal portion for movement between a headrest retracted position and a headrest extended position. A seat hook is disposed on the seat back and is moveable between a seat hook retracted or collapsed position and a seat hook extended or sprung position. Movement of the headrest from the headrest retracted position to the headrest extended position causes movement of the seat hook from the seat hook retracted position to the seat hook extended position and movement of the headrest from the headrest extended position to the headrest retracted position causes movement of the seat hook from the seat hook extended position to the seat hook retracted position.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2018Date of Patent: December 3, 2019Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Frank D. Patent number: 6629729Abstract: A pair of foldable rear seats for a motor vehicle includes a support stub fixed to the vehicle and a pair elongated support arms pivotally connected to the support stub. A pair of seat bottoms are pivotally connected to each of the respective support arms, such that each seat bottom is pivotable between a vertical folded position and a horizontal open position. Further, a pair of seat backs are each pivotally connected to a rear portion of each respective seat bottom in order to fold into the respective seat bottom from an open position. A headrest is slidably disposed on each seat back. Furthermore, a pair of seat legs are each pivotally connected to the seat bottom at an outer portion thereof so that when the seat bottom is in the open state, the seat leg, in its open position, extends from the seat bottom to the vehicle floor.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2002Date of Patent: October 7, 2003Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Michael Wiedeman, Michael Tsay, Mami Endo, John Dixon, John A.
