  • Publication number: 20250070818
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein are directed to techniques for improving battery life performance of end devices in resource monitoring systems which transmit data using low-power, wide area network (LPWAN) technologies. Further, the techniques include providing sensor interfaces in the end devices configured to communicate with multiple types of metrology sensors. Additionally, the systems and methods include techniques for reducing the size of a concentrator of a gateway device which receives resource measurement data from end devices. The reduced size of the concentrator results in smaller, more compact gateway devices that consume less energy and reduce heat dissipation experienced in gateway devices. The concentrator may comply with modular interface standards, and include two radios configured for transmitting 1-watt signals.

  • Patent number: 12238104
Abstract: A secure communication system enabling secure transport of information is disclosed. The system comprises a secure network with one or more packet processing units connected by links through an internal communication system. The secure network transports packets of information between credentialed and authenticated agents. Each packet is associated with a visa issued by a visa service. The visa specifies the procedures governing the processing of the packet by the packet processing units as it is transported along a compliant flow, between agents thorough the network, according to a set of policies specified in a network configuration. Packet processing units include docks and forwarders. Adaptors serving the agents communicate with the network through tie-ins to docks. The system also includes and admin service, accessible to one more admins, that facilitates configuration and management of the network.

  • Patent number: 7600975
Abstract: A rotor that consists of a central hub or shaft and a plurality of boot shaped integral blade/vane units that combine a pronounced elongated vane tip extending substantially toward the incoming flow and also the direction of rotation forming a helix or pitch angle to the rotation axis centerline, preferably normal to and joined to the outer frontward extremity of a slightly rearward tilted blade/wing section that is connected by its inner end to the central hub or shaft. The rotor revolves about the rotation axis by incoming gas/fluid flow as most of the fluid flow is encouraged to move substantially outward and rearward as it travels into and past the forwardly projecting vane tips located a substantial distance radially from the axis of rotation. This maximizes the torque developed and transferred to the hub/shaft in a manner that does not greatly inhibit total through flow.
