    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for operation of a multiple fuel engine, which runs on a combination of two or more fuels. An electronic control unit (ECU) may be connected to the existing components of an engine system in order to control operation of the multiple fuel engine. The engine system may be mechanically governed or electronically controlled. The ECU inputs operating characteristics of the engine system, determines governing characteristics for multiple fuel operation based on the operating characteristics, and controls the amounts of fuel delivered to the engine based on the governing characteristics. In a preferred embodiment, a dual fuel engine operates using diesel as a first fuel and natural gas as a second fuel. The operating characteristics may include engine speed, throttle position, engine exhaust temperature, gas pressure of the second fuel, gas temperature of the second fuel, boost pressure of an intake manifold, or engine coolant temperature.

    Abstract: A strengthened, inexpensive roof-to-wall bracket that includes two perpendicularly aligned wall flange members, integrally formed on a wall transverse member, and two perpendicularly aligned rafter flange members integrally formed on the wall transverse member. Disposed under the corners between the two wall flange members and the wall transverse member is and L-shaped secondary angle member. In the preferred embodiment, the L-shaped angle member formed by cutting a square or rectangular cutout in the adjoining wall flange member and then bending the waste material upward to form the angle member. The angle member is disposed along the corners and along the adjoining inside surfaces of the wall flange member and the wall transverse member. Optional welds may be used to physically connect the angle member to the inside surfaces of the wall flange and wall transverse member. Optional gussets may be formed on the corners between the wall flange surface and the wall transverse member for added strength.

Modulation of at least one object beam and adjustment of the angle at which that beam interferes with the reference beam on the photoresist material is used to reflect image data for each pixel of the image being converted into a hologram consisting of diffraction gratings.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to chemically modified hemoglobin produced by a novel and efficient method in which stroma-free hemoglobin is first effectively deoxygenated and reduced and then conjugated with a polyalkylene oxide such as polyethylene glycol (PEG) under conditions which maintain the structural integrity of the heme oxygen binding site. In specific, preferred embodiments of the invention, the deoxygenation and reduction is performed under an inert atmosphere by the amino acid cysteine. In additional specific, preferred embodiments, the structural integrity of the heme oxygen binding site is maintained by a high anionic concentration in the reaction mixture. In further preferred specific emodiments of the invention, the polyalkylene oxide is polyethylene glycol; in still further preferred specific embodiments of the invention, the polyalkylene oxide is linked to hemoglobin via a urethane (carbamate) linkage.
