  • Publication number: 20250373204
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a method for amplifying a radio frequency (RF) signal for a power amplification system comprising multiple amplifying devices, the method comprising: determining a configuration of the power amplification system based on power values related to the RF signal, wherein the configuration indicates an activation-deactivation pattern of the amplifying devices of the power amplification system for amplification of the RF signal, controlling the power amplification system according to the determined configuration for amplifying the RF signal.

  • Publication number: 20250233317
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus. The apparatus comprises: Two or more antenna panels with different boresight directions comprising a plurality of antenna elements. At least one antenna panel within the two or more antenna panels is configured to reflect signals emitted by the two or more antenna panels. At least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform: Mitigating interference of beams corresponding to the two or more antenna panels.

  • Patent number: 10931347
Abstract: Linearizing Power Amplifiers' Outputs in Multi-Antenna System There is provided power efficient and simple structure for linearizing power amplifiers' outputs in multi-antenna beamforming systems. Beamforming factors are obtained for controlling transmission beams of the antennas in an analogue/hybrid beamforming system. At least one power amplifier model is determined on the basis of the power amplifiers' outputs and the beamforming factors. Predistortion parameters, for feeding a predistorted signal to power amplifiers for linearizing the power amplifiers' outputs, are determined such that after the operating parameters of the power amplifiers have been adjusted, errors in power amplifiers' outputs are reduced.

  • Patent number: 9362869
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program for modeling mathematically an effect of a plurality of factors on signal distortion caused by a non-linear amplifier are provided. First, there is computed a global model which incorporates a combined effect of the plurality of factors on signal distortion caused by the non-linear amplifier. Before applying the pre-distorted transmission signal to the non-linear amplifier, a transmission signal is pre-distorted with coefficients derived from the global model thus compensating for the signal distortion caused by the non-linear amplifier.
