  • Patent number: 9416684
Abstract: A structure and method are provided for preventing or at least minimizing thermally-induced structural distortions, such as may occur when a steam turbine is cooling down. The steam turbine may include an inner housing and an outer housing. An intermediate space is formed between the inner housing and the outer housing, and sealing steam may be injected into the intermediate space to avoid the formation of temperature strata in the interspace and thus prevent the outer housing from bowing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 3, 2012
Date of Patent: August 16, 2016
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Frank Deister, Ingo Forster, Daniel Gloss, Christian Musch, Heinrich Stuer, Frank Truckenmuller
  • Publication number: 20160169053
Abstract: A turbine condenser includes an area with condenser tubes for liquefying waste steam from the steam turbine, a chamber formed by condenser walls for receiving the waste steam, and a diverted steam channelling system for channelling diverted steam into the chamber in the turbine condenser, wherein the diverted steam channelling system includes an annular nozzle extending into the turbine condenser, the outlet end of which has an uneven edge.

  • Publication number: 20140345723
Abstract: A water injection device for a bypass steam system of a power plant, having a flow channel for steam with a steam inlet and a steam outlet, and an injection nozzle which is arranged between the steam inlet and outlet, is provided having a particularly satisfactory cooling action in order to avoid condenser damage by way of technically particularly simple means. To this end, the injection nozzle is arranged on a wall which extends substantially in the direction of the gas flow and is arranged spaced apart from an inner wall of the flow channel.

  • Patent number: 8512001
Abstract: A turbomachine rotor, a rotor blade and a method for assembling a turbomachine rotor are provided. The turbomachine rotor includes a rotor blade with a blade root, a wheel disk with a groove in which the blade root engages such that the rotor blade is maintained in the groove in a positive fit in a radial direction. Further, a pretensioning device is provided, which is supported on the wheel disk as well as on the blade root and which exerts a pretensioning force on the blade root in the radial direction. The pretensioning device is designed such that the pretensioning force can be adjusted when assembling the turbomachine rotor.
