  • Publication number: 20240072748
Abstract: A command to update a volume level of a group comprising a first and a second playback device to a requested group volume level is detected, the requested group volume level indicating respective requested volume levels for the first and second playback devices. Based on the command, (i) a first volume state variable of the first playback device is determined to be adjusted based on a first maximum volume state variable and (ii) a second volume state variable of the second playback device is determined to be adjusted based on a second maximum volume state variable. Based on the first and second maximum volume state variables, the volume level of the playback group is adjusted to an alternate group volume level different from the requested group volume level. An indication that the volume level of the playback group has been adjusted to the requested group volume level is provided.

  • Publication number: 20200289779
Abstract: There is provided a nebulizer orientation apparatus for orientating an aerosol or mist forming means of the nebulizer into a substantially vertical position relative to the ground level under force of gravity. Particularly, there is provided a nebulizer orientation apparatus comprising first and second straight hollow bodies in flow communication with each other via a joint means, which joint means facilitating movement of the first and second straight hollow bodies relative to each other in a first plane facilitated by the joint means, and wherein the first straight hollow body is weighted relative to the second straight hollow body to facilitate displacement of the first body under force of gravity relative to the second body.

  • Patent number: 9341608
Abstract: A method of determining the expected shelf life of seafood. The method includes a step of placing a test strip against a piece of seafood, wherein the test strip includes an indicating pad having a pH indicator that is configured to change color in the presence of ammonia. The method further includes a step of ascertaining concentration on a parts per million level of ammonia by comparing the color of the pH indicator to a comparative chart, wherein the comparative chart includes a gradient of color intensity that indicates the concentration on a parts per million level of ammonia. Furthermore, the method includes a step of referencing a booklet having a plurality of charts to cross reference the concentration of ammonia detected by the test strip with the storage temperature to determine an expected shelf life for a piece of seafood.

  • Publication number: 20060060721
Abstract: An apparatus to modify a wing to provide increased lift over drag ratios and reduced noise compared to similar wings with straight leading edges. For wings extending in a lateral direction, and defining a longitudinal upstream direction, the apparatus forms a laterally extending leading edge facing in the upstream direction. The apparatus forms a plurality of protrusions spaced laterally along the leading edge, the protrusions creating a smoothly varying, alternately forward-and-aft sweep along the leading edge relative to the upstream flow direction along the leading edge. The protrusions may contain instruments, and may be deployable and retractable.
