Abstract: The invention is directed to a glass anchoring system that reduces the potential for demounting the glass having a layer of security film when a severe impact force is applied to the glass. A pane of glass is secured within a frame assembly having a lower frame member, an upper frame member, a first side frame member and a second side frame member. A layer of security film is applied to a surface of the glass, typically the interior glass surface. The system includes a structural adhesive mass applied along the frame member and between opposed ends of the frame member. The structural mass has a first surface that contacts the security film and a second surface that contacts the frame member, wherein the first surface is oriented transversely to the second surface.
