  • Publication number: 20230250681
Abstract: A door locking mechanism includes a main body, a trigger, and a slide lock. The slide lock and the main body are configured such that at least a portion of the slide lock extends outside of the main body in a locked position, with the slide lock being advanced into the main body as the slide lock transitions toward an unlocked position. A ball lock is in operative communication with the trigger and the slide lock, with the ball lock, the trigger, and the slide lock being configured such that when the trigger is in the extended position, the ball lock inhibits movement of the slide lock from the unlocked position toward the locked position. Movement of the trigger from an extended position toward a retracted position allows the ball lock to assume an unobstructed position allowing the slide lock to transition from toward the locked position.

  • Publication number: 20220371074
Abstract: A drawer slide, having a plurality of slide members is provided. The slide members have a first elongate linear member and a second elongate linear member to slide within a channel defined by an interior surface of the first slide member. The first and second slide members each have a first end portion, a second end portion, and the interior surface defining the first and second channels, respectively. The first slide member is milled from a single piece of material and includes a wall located transversely across the second end portion. Preferably, the interior side edges of the first linear member and the exterior side edges of the immediate linear member further define a first pair of raceways within which a plurality of ball bearings and bearing spacers are alternately disposed to provide a smooth slide motion of the second slide member. The noise damper is a noise-absorbing cushion mounted to the interior surface of the second linear member at the second end portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 10710858
Abstract: Disclosed is an extractor for an airplane galley storage container. The extractor may include a rigid frame with a grip on a first end portion connected to an extractor arm on an opposite, second end portion of the rigid frame. When the grip is pulled, the extractor arm moves correspondingly proximally from its position on the opposite end of the rigid frame. When the grip is released, at least one constant force spring, stored in a spring housing on or near a distal end of a rigid frame of the extractor, biases the extractor arm and grip distally to a rest position.

  • Publication number: 20200079633
Abstract: Disclosed is an extractor for an airplane galley. The extractor may be mounted in an interior of a galley storage area. Storage containers may be stored more than one deep in the storage area. The extractor may include a rigid frame with a grip on a first end portion connected to an extractor arm on an opposite, second end portion of the rigid frame. When the grip is pulled by the crewmember. The grip controls, at least in part, the positioning of the extractor arm. When the grip is pulled proximally toward the crewmember, the extractor arm moves correspondingly proximally from its position on the opposite end of the rigid frame. The extractor arm contacts a rearmost storage container in the storage area, and pushes the rearmost container, and any in front of it, toward the opening in the storage area.

  • Patent number: 8459758
Abstract: A drawer slide with an auto close dampening system with reset feature is disclosed. The drawer slide may incorporate a stationary slide member attached to a frame of the drawer and a pin in fixed relative position to a drawer box of the drawer. A carriage is attached to the stationary slide member and has an actuator that is releasably engageable with the pin. The actuator works in conjunction with the pin to automatically close the drawer box to the closed position. During malfunction, the actuator is drawn back to a retracted position so that the auto close mechanism no longer automatically closes the drawer box when the drawer box is traversed to the closed position. The actuator includes a ramp so that the pin may be pushed over the ramp and engage back with the actuator to reset the auto close mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7367597
Abstract: A push-to-open latch is selectively moveable between latched and unlatched positions. The push-to-open latch comprises a latch assembly that is reciprocatable relative to a catch assembly. The latch assembly includes a latch housing having a housing bore extending to a housing bottom wall. A pin rod shaft extends upwardly from the housing bottom wall and has a pin rod dowel extending outwardly therefrom. The catch assembly includes a catch housing with an inner and outer cam rotatably disposed therewithin and having mating ends that collectively define a cam interior. The inner and outer cam mating ends have cam bores and inner and outer cam mating end ramps that cooperate to alternately engage and release the pin rod dowel from the cam interior such that the push-to-open latch is respectively placed in the latched and unlatched positions during reciprocation of the pin rod shaft through the cam bore.
