Patent number: 7532878Abstract: The invention relates to a method of having telecommunication connections as well as a mobile terminal and a contact server for executing this method. A mobile terminal logs on to a contact server that manages a personal profile of a first subscriber. A first communication connection is established between the mobile terminal of the first subscriber and a second subscriber whose personal profile matches with the personal profile of the first subscriber according to a search profile associated with the first subscriber. A response to a switch command, the first communication connection is interrupted and a second communication connection is established between the mobile terminal of the first subscriber and a third subscriber whose personal profile as well matches with the personal profile of the first subscriber according to the search profile.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2004Date of Patent: May 12, 2009Assignee: ALCATELInventor: Frank Hägebarth

Patent number: 6977923Abstract: The invention relates to a method of establishing a voice call between a calling party's terminal (5), which is connected to a telephone network (4), and a called party's terminal (6), which is also connected to the telephone network (4), through an Internet Protocol (IP) network (1). To make the method as simple as possible, it is proposed to use conventional IP servers (2; 3) of IP service providers for providing access to the IP network (1). The IP network (1) includes at least one Voice-over-IP (VoIP) server (11), which controls the functions of telephony over the IP network (1). The VoIP server (11) receives the request for an IP call from the calling party, activates the still inactive terminal (6) of the called party over the telephone network (4), determines the IP addresses of the terminals (5, 6), and communicates the IP addresses to the respective other terminal (5; 6). The terminals (5, 6) then establish a voice call between them through the IP network (1).Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2000Date of Patent: December 20, 2005Assignee: AlcatelInventor: Frank Hägebarth

Publication number: 20050108105Abstract: The invention concerns a contract server and a method for supporting an e-commerce contract arrangement between a vendor and a customer, wherein a terminal assigned to the customer and a merchant server assigned to the vendor exchange data for negotiating terms of such contract. The merchant server transfers contract data specifying a set of contract terms of a contract to a third party's contract server. The contract server generates a contract text specifying a contract that corresponds with the received contract data. Then, it transmits the contract text via a communication network 1 to a terminal of the customer. The contract server executes an authentication procedure for authenticating the customer. If the contract server receives a confirmation regarding the contract text from an authenticated customer, it stores the contract items as signed contract items.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2004Publication date: May 19, 2005Inventor: Frank Hagebarth

Patent number: 6790044Abstract: The invention relates to a process (1) for the automatic creation and monitoring of a progress plan for a training course comprising at least one training unit by a computer. To increase the efficiency of the training course in a process (1), the invention proposes a process (1) which is characterised by the following steps: definition of first time units by the computer (2), definition of second time units by the computer (4), creation of a progress plan by the computer for the execution of the training course in dependence upon the first time units and the second time units (5), where for each training unit the progress plan specifies a time by which it is to be completed and monitoring by the computer as to whether the corresponding training unit has been completed by the time specified in the progress plan (7).Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1999Date of Patent: September 14, 2004Assignee: AlcatelInventor: Frank Hägebarth

Patent number: 6687505Abstract: A method of monitoring the position of a mobile subscriber is disclosed in which the position data of the cell in which the mobile subscriber is currently located are passed through an IN (intelligent network) server (2) to a Web server (4) of the Internet, edited there, and presented on a Web page (5).Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2000Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: AlcatelInventor: Frank Hägebarth

Patent number: 6546086Abstract: The invention concerns a process and a system for placing and reading an advertisement. In order to place and read advertisements without undue delay and to reach the largest possible group of interested people with a published advertisement, a process is proposed that is characterised by the following steps: dialling of a specified directory number of a service computer in a telecommunications (TC) network (1) and making a connection to the service computer (2); selection of a desired category of advertisement (4); and input of advertising copy (6) into or output of advertising copy (12) from an advertisement memory (10) allocated to the selected category.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2000Date of Patent: April 8, 2003Assignee: AlcatelInventor: Frank Hägebarth

Publication number: 20030009280Abstract: In a navigation system, particularly for vehicles, with means for position determination, a navigation terminal comprises an operating facility, a display facility, an announcement memory and a transmitter/receiver and is connected, at least intermittently, to a central computer. A navigation system with such a navigation terminal is particularly cost-effective since there is no need for data on the traffic network (road maps) to be stored in the navigation terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2002Publication date: January 9, 2003Applicant: ALCATELInventor: Frank Hagebarth

Patent number: 6484026Abstract: The invention relates to a process for clearing a mobile telephone Subscribe-identify Module (SIM) card for a mobile telephone customer for a set performance parameter or for changing a performance parameter for which the SIM card is cleared. To accelerate the clearance of SIM cards, the invention proposes a process characterized by the following steps: selecting a communications network via a terminal, establishing a connection to the communications network, determining the customer's identity, going through a computer-assisted dialog that comprises at least the determination of the card number of the SIM card, transmitting the customer's identity and the card number of the SIM card to a mobile telephone network operator via a data transmission connection, and entering the transmitted data in a database of the network operator.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1999Date of Patent: November 19, 2002Assignee: AlcatelInventor: Frank Hägebarth
