Abstract: Liquid antacid compositions containing a tri- or di-ester buffer have a reduced final product pH providing for a more efficacious preservative system and better tasting product without compromising to acid neutralization capacity of the antacid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to bag making machines, a particular embodiment of which comprises a system of two-way gates, a tubing machine which forms a tube of suitable material, cuts the formed tube into tube lengths and axially discharges the tube lengths into the system of two-way gates, a plurality of sewing machines and associated feed conveyors, the system of gates directing the tube lengths in a cyclic sequence to the sewing machine feed conveyors which transfer the tube lengths sideways to the sewing machines. The operation timing of the sewing machines and associated feed conveyors and the system of two-way gates is controlled with respect to that of the tubing machine drive.
