Abstract: The invention relates to a coating composition containing between 51 wt % and 99.9 wt % of a TiO2-producing agent, wherein the coating composition contains between 0.1 wt % and 49 wt %, relative to the total composition, of at least one further component which is selected from collagen, chitosans, phenols and/or substituted quaternary ammonium salts of alkylated phosphoric acid. The invention further relates to a nanoscale coating based on titanium dioxide, and to the production, further processing and use thereof.
