  • Patent number: 11016925
Abstract: Systems and methods for protocol-tolerant communications in a Controller Area Network (CAN) are described. In some embodiments, a method may include receiving a frame at a network node; identifying, by the network node, a bit in a selected field of the frame; and determining, by the network node, that the frame follows a second format despite the bit indicating that the frame follows a first format. In other embodiments, a CAN controller includes message processing circuitry; and a memory coupled to the message processing circuitry, the memory having program instructions that configure the message processing circuit to: receive a frame; identify a bit in a selected field of the frame; and determine that the frame follows a Classical CAN format despite the bit indicating that the frame follows a flexible data-rate CAN (CAN FD) format.

  • Publication number: 20180203654
Abstract: Method for generating a preview of an image in a print job comprising: creating a preview RIP-job at the head of a RIP-job queue, the RIP-job queue queueing in first-in-first-out order RIP-jobs to be submitted to and processed by a raster image processor, and the preview RIP-job arranged to register images to be submitted to the raster image processor for generating a preview of the image, registering the image in the preview RIP-job in order for the image to be submitted to the raster image processor, wherein the completion of the preview RIP-job is independent of the state of any print job as well as of the contents of the preview RIP-job.

  • Patent number: 9892346
Abstract: A method is provided for converting image data from a source format into a target format in a system including a converter for converting a sequence of data from the source format into an intermediate format, and an image processing system for converting the data from the intermediate format into the target format. The inverter is capable of dividing the data in the intermediate format into separate files. The method includes the steps of processing a first file in the image processing system; compiling a second file in the converter; and when the first file has been processed completely, instructing the converter to close the second file and send it to the image processing system and to open a new file for the next data to be converted.

  • Patent number: 9425992
Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-frame and frame streaming in a Controller Area Network (CAN) with Flexible Data-Rate (FD). In some embodiments, a method may include creating, by a device coupled to a CAN network configured to support a CAN Flexible Data-Rate (FD) protocol, a data frame comprising a field that indicates a multi-frame or streaming transmission, and transmitting the data frame in the multi-frame or streaming transmission. A CAN node may include message processing circuitry configured to receive a data frame comprising a Data Length Code (DLC) field configured to indicate multi-frame operation or streaming operation. The message processing circuitry may be further configured to receive another data frame in the absence of an arbitration process between the data frames.

  • Patent number: 9298529
Abstract: Systems and methods for indicating internal transmitter errors in a Controller Area Network (CAN). In some embodiments, a method may include initiating, by a device coupled to a CAN, transmission of a message via the CAN; detecting an error by the device during the transmission; and continuing, by the device after having detected the error, the transmission of the message without causing or indicating a bus error condition. In other embodiments, a CAN node may include message processing circuitry configured to receive a frame from a transmitter, the frame comprising a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) field, the message processing circuitry further configured to identify an internal error of the transmitter based upon the CRC field.

  • Patent number: 9112721
Abstract: Systems and methods for handling wake-up messages in a Controller Area Network (CAN) are described. In some embodiments, a method may include operating a CAN controller in a selected one of a plurality of operating modes in response to the detection of an event or activity on a CAN bus. The method may also include handling, by the CAN controller, a CAN message using a message handling protocol associated with the selected one of the plurality of operating modes, for example, while a host processor operates in a low power mode. In various implementations, each of the plurality of operating modes may correspond to a different amount of power consumption by the CAN controller. The method may further include transmitting a selected one of a plurality of response messages by the CAN controller over the CAN bus, in some cases, without waking up the processor from the low power mode.

  • Patent number: 9091103
Abstract: A closure securing mechanism implementing a latching without further operator interaction mechanism for sliding doors when completely slid closed. The closure securing mechanism implements the automatic latching function through industry standard compatible devices or modifications to existing sliding door latching hardware. When the closure securing mechanism is installed on a sliding door the latching mechanism will be positively secured anytime the door is fully slid closed. The mechanism can be opened from inside and outside with standard pull handles with sliding locks. The sliding lock portion has a spring of specific tension, specific body and total length in tension so whenever the door is slid closed and the keeper latch is angled to engage and hold a latching arm inhibiting opening of the door until the tension of the spring is overcome by an operator sliding the sliding lock against the spring in tension.

  • Publication number: 20050247833
Abstract: A support platform with a first and second bracket. The brackets each have first, second, and third sleeves. A cross member is inserted into and extends between the first sleeves of the brackets. Leg members are slidably inserted into and extend from the second and third sleeves of the brackets. The leg members inserted in the second sleeves extend substantially away from one side of the cross member at a first angle. The leg members inserted in the third sleeves extend substantially away from the other side of the cross member at a second angle. The second angle is less than the first angle.
