  • Patent number: 11772928
Abstract: A device and a method wind a thread on a winding machine. The winding machine has a spool sleeve and a spool holder, which has two oppositely disposed centering plates, having an adjustable axial distance relative to each other, for tensioning the spool sleeve. The centering plates each have a centering cone which engages in an open spool sleeve end, and an arrester hook for arresting the thread being provided in one of the centering plates. The arrester hook is oriented in the circumferential direction of the centering plate, and the centering plate having the arrester hook contains an outer cone which overlaps the outer diameter of the spool sleeve end. An inside of the arrester hook is formed by a nose-like recess provided in the outer cone.

  • Patent number: 10730716
Abstract: Techniques involve extruding, orienting and winding up a skein of film tapes or monofilaments. In particular, an apparatus has an extrusion installation, a plurality of drawing-off rollers and orienting rollers and a multiplicity of winding positions which are held alongside one another and one above another on an operating side of a frame wall. The winding positions are configured such that the wound packages are kept ready for removal at the frame wall on a doffing side on the opposite side from the operating side. Such an apparatus is able to achieve a material flow that is as continuous as possible during the production of the film strips and monofilaments.

  • Patent number: 10598471
Abstract: A projectile with a projectile casing and at least one pyrotechnic charge incorporated in the projectile casing is proposed, wherein the projectile has an open projectile base with a destructible membrane and the pyrotechnic charge burns away at a defined rate during the flight of the projectile, and so the projectile loses mass in such a way that a predetermined effective range is not exceeded. As a result, safety and a nonlethal effect are achieved, in particular outside the effective range.

  • Patent number: 10495420
Abstract: A protection and defence system for an infrastructure against a threat approaching the infrastructure, comprising at least one effector. When a threat is determined, the at least one effector dispenses a non-lethal countermeasure which damages the threat and thus causes its crash. Vision and target tracker, such as at least a camera and tracker, and at least one directing/actuating drive are allocated to the effector or effectors. The effector and the vision and target tracker thereof are supported by a modular platform which can be fixedly installed to/on various infrastructures, can be removed therefrom and be used in a mobile mode. In addition, the platforms comprise a sensor that detects the spatial position of the effectors.

  • Patent number: 8834148
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a turf yarn for artificial turf. According to the invention, several monofilaments or ribbons are produced from one respective polymer material in two parallel extrusion processes, the turf yarn being formed by combining several monofilaments or ribbons obtained in the first extrusion process with several monofilaments or ribbons obtained in the second extrusion process. In order to improve especially the elasticity of an artificial turf carpet made from said turf yarn, the monofilaments or ribbons obtained in one of the extrusion processes are crimped before being combined, the crimped monofilaments or ribbons and the flat monofilaments or ribbons being produced in parallel next to each other and being joined in a winding station by means of a tie thread.

  • Publication number: 20120139150
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a grass yarn for artificial turf. A film is produced from a polymer material in an extrusion process and divided into individual strips. The strips are crimped before being coiled into spools. The aim of the invention is to achieve a structure which particularly matches natural grass. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the film or the strips are fibrillated by a needle roller before crimping and the strips are separated after on and individually crimped independently of each other.
