  • Patent number: 10869648
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system is disclosed. The system comprises an ultrasound emitter and receiver movably disposed within an elongate member, an actuator coupled to the emitter, and a control system. The actuator moves the emitter through a path comprising at least a portion of an arc. The control system controls the emission of a sequence of pulses from the emitter and receives from the receiver ultrasound echo data associated with the sequence of pulses emitted along the path. The control system processes the ultrasound echo data to generate a cross-sectional image of an internal structure based on echo amplitude data and echo velocity data.

Assignee: PHILIPS IMAGE GUIDED THERAPY CORPORATION
    Inventors: Frank Hubbard, Dietrich Ho
  • Patent number: 8758255
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for controlling the field of view in imaging systems are provided. For example, in one embodiment an imaging system includes a flexible elongate sized and shaped for use within an internal structure of a patient, an imaging transducer positioned within the distal portion of the flexible elongate member, and a monitor positioned within the distal portion of the flexible elongated member and configured to generate a feedback signal indicative of a position of the imaging transducer relative to the transducer's motion profile. The imaging system may also include a controller in communication with the monitor and configured to adjust a control signal based on the feedback signal in order to achieve a desired field of view for the imaging transducer.

  • Publication number: 20050072687
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for manufacturing bleach (or sodium hypochlorite) and caustic potash (or KOH) without the need for shipping or storing chlorine gas. Specifically, the present invention relates to the manufacture of potassium hydroxide and chlorine gas, through several process options, for the manufacture of sodium hypochlorite (or bleach), hydrochloric acid (HCl) and/or other chlorinated compounds. The disclosed process allows operating flexibility based on chlorine demand, reduces capital costs and eliminates the need for the transportation and storage of chlorine gas.

  • Patent number: 5075884
Abstract: A computer workstation having a window output display for potential use in security-sensitive environments provides multilevel security by physical isolation of processes in predefined security levels, each process or like-classified group of processes is displayed only through a suitably labeled window, access to the window requiring access through a previously security qualified physical signal path. The invention does not compromise security by mixing a software-based security environment with other untested software. All security is hardware-based.
