  • Patent number: 10263727
Abstract: A system and method for mitigating interference of a radio frequency (RF) signal includes a receiver configured to include: a decomposition module that decomposes a received RF signal into sub-bands via a multi-stage filter, each sub-band being configured to operate on real and imaginary components of the RF signal, and each stage being scaled for separating time-frequency content of the desired signal from time-frequency content of the interference; a mitigation module that suppresses the interference of the RF signal in each sub-band by zeroing an output of a respective sub-band when the frequency content exceeds a predetermined threshold; and a reconstruction module that reconstructs the RF signal from the mitigation module minus the interference. The receiver is configured to determine whether the multi-stage filter is to be reinitialized with updated time and frequency resolution requirements to improve system response.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 3, 2017
Date of Patent: April 16, 2019
    Assignee: BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON INC.

  • Patent number: 5981006
Abstract: A coupled spin-draw process for making a fully-oriented nylon yarn including extruding molten nylon polymer with a selected RV through a spinneret and cooling to produce a yarn. The yarn is withdrawn from the quench zone with a feed roll rotating at a speed of at least 4500 mpm. The process further includes cold drawing followed by relaxing the yarn using a steam intermingling jet and then winding up.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 1997
Date of Patent: November 9, 1999
Assignee: E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: Walter John Jaegge, Francis Joseph Malone, Jr., Frank Hudson Overton, Roger Allen Ross, Ronald Edward Steele
