At least one pedal (112) is associated with at least one resilient member (116,117, 410). In use of the apparatus (100, 100?, 500, 600), a pedal (112) can be displaced from a rest position to a work position against a restoring force provided by the resilient member (116,117, 410) and held in the work position while the user performs a pedalling motion, allowing the user to exercise.
