  • Publication number: 20020134277
Abstract: A passenger carrying monorail bullet train which travels in a loop at between about one hundred and one hundred fifty miles per hour across country between major metropolitan cities, and which does not stop to board and egress passengers. The bullet train is suspended above ground by a monorail supported by towers therealong. Passengers are shuttled from a station in a passenger shuttle module carried by an engine powered passenger shuttle vehicle along standard railroad tracks which merge with the monorail at a passenger transfer zone. The railroad tracks are elevated in the transfer zone to raise the passenger shuttle vehicle and passenger transport module towards a special passenger transfer module into which the passenger transport module is secured, while passengers leaving the bullet train are housed in a separate passenger transport module in the passenger transfer module which lowers with the passenger transport vehicle on the back side of the ramp for transport back to the station.

  • Patent number: 5921117
Abstract: A locking receptacle and a locking device for securing a mailbox, package delivery box, or other receptacle requiring a single opening of the receptacle door for a mailperson or package delivery person to insert a package being delivered and upon subsequent closing of the door locking until unlocked by a person having a key or combination therefor to receive the delivery. The locking device mounts to the inside of the receptacle and has an arm which is pivotally attached to the door of the receptacle and to a reciprocally pivotal locking disk. A first pivoting lever is positioned to engage a slot in the periphery of the locking disk when the door is closed so as to restrain the locking disk and the door in a closed position. A spring-biased, reciprocally pivotal counting disk is arranged to turn with the locking disk as the door is opened and to lock in that position by means of a second pivoting lever which engages a slot in the periphery of the counting disk.

  • Patent number: 4587832
Abstract: A tube bending tool for bending tubing, such as electrical metal tubing or plumbing tubing, signals the user by an indicator such as a audible signalling device when the tubing has been bent to a predetermined angle. The tool includes a bending anvil with a tube receiving area such as a tube receiving groove which receives the tube as it is bent, the greater the length of tube received by the groove the greater the degree of bend in the tube. A plurality of sensors such as switches are spaced along the tube receiving area so that as the tube is received by predetermined locations along the tube receiving area, a sensor changes state. A selector switch is coupled to an indicator and power source so that when a selected sensor changes state, indicating a predetermined degree of tube bend has been obtained, the indicator is activated.
