  • Patent number: 7441375
Abstract: A cover for concealing an open pocket, recess or the like in a precast concrete panel following removal of a form used for positioning an anchor in the concrete panel during manufacture thereof is disclosed. The cover includes a planar or flat or substantially planar or flat top sized to cover an open pocket in a precast concrete panel, and at least one projecting member extending outward from an underside of the top of the cover. Each projecting member has two opposed end walls joined by a cross wall having a lesser height than the height of the end walls. The cross wall is positioned operatively substantially perpendicular to the two end walls of the projecting member and is operatively connected to the end walls of the projecting member. The cross wall is under compression in use and supports the end walls which have sufficient flexibility to conform to the side walls of the pocket when positioned in the pocket.

  • Publication number: 20040159196
Abstract: A tool for spreading apart a leg portion of a ski boot including a handle portion and a plate portion wherein the plate portion has at an end thereof means for engaging an inner piece of the leg portion and the handle portion at the end thereof has means for engaging an outer piece partially overlapping the inner piece of a ski boot leg portion. The means for engaging includes a first recess which opens inward of the plate portion and a second recess which opens outward of the handle portion. The handle portion and the plate portion are preferably separate components joined together in rotational relation to each other, preferably by a pivot fastening means.

  • Patent number: 6241408
Abstract: Dual pack applicators capable of holding two separate volumes of product are described. The respective product volumes are separately accessible from opposite ends of the applicator. The applicator has an outer sleeve which holds two individual applicator assemblies. Each individual assembly has its own reservoir and dispensing mechanism and can be a pre-existing self-sufficient applicator. Each individual applicator assembly is secured within the sleeve by a friction fit or by a snap fit mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6129471
Abstract: A screw operated stick applicator providing for controlled dispensing of a product in predetermined increments based on a click action mechanism. A tubular body holds a supply of product, which is dispensed by the action of a dispensing screw having a control member adjacent the base wall of the tubular body and a threaded shaft inside the body. The shaft is threadably engaged to a movable product support. Protrusions on the dispensing screw interact with the base wall of the body to provide resistance to the smooth rotation of the control member and cause the control member to favor certain predetermined positions. The base wall includes an inner wall surface at its lower end which interacts with the protrusions to provide click action and, thus, controlled incremental dispensing.

  • Patent number: 5842802
Abstract: The coating implement of the present invention dispenses solid material from an open-ended body for rubbing contact with a surface by ejecting the material from the open end of the body. The body has a manually operable collar secured near the upper open end thereof. The body has a screw and a screw-mounted elevator therein. The screw includes a knurled knob. The body is located in the tube with the knurled knob in frictional engagement with the inner lower end of the tube. Indicia may be placed on the outer surface of the body where it is protected by the tube, and the tube is transparent so that the indicia may be viewed therethrough. Rotation of the collar causes the body to rotate within the tube and eject the material from the body.

  • Patent number: 5778472
Abstract: A tool for removing lids from containers is formed from a single piece of planar rigid material by stamping or cutting therefrom a pattern and thereafter bending portions of the pattern into operative elements including a handle portion and a head portion. The head portion includes a first flange having a first flange flap, an inward projecting recess, a cutting flange having a cutting edge, a second flange, and a third flange, wherein the third flange and the cutting flange are bent to the same side of the tool to perform a cutting function while the first flange and the second flange are bent to the opposite side to facilitate a prying function.

  • Patent number: 5727891
Abstract: The dispenser for lip-salve or similar ointment includes a tube, an elevator axially movable within the tube for expelling the ointment, and a screw rotatable within the cylinder and interacting with the elevator for moving the elevator within the tube. The internal threads on the elevator interact with the external threads on the screw when the screw is rotated. The elevator is generally cup-shaped, and is arranged to prevent relative rotation between the elevator and the tube. A knob is integral with the screw and external of the tube, and a groove in the knob and a collar in the tube permit relative rotation of the knob and screw with the tube but prevents relative axial movement between the tube and the screw. At least one inclined plane is on the bottom of the cup-shaped elevator and interacts with at least one inclined plane on the knob, within the tube, whereby when turning the knob, the inclined planes on the knob forceably push the inclined planes on the elevator axially within the tube.
