  • Publication number: 20050145241
Abstract: A cooking compartment door of a cooking oven having a pyrolysis function in the cooking compartment, includes a borosilicate glass pane forming at least a portion of the cooking compartment door. The borosilicate glass pane is provided at least in sections with a colored layer. The colored layer provides impact resistance to the borosilicate glass pane by being applied to the surface of the borosilicate glass pane on the side opposite the cooking compartment. The colored layer is resistant to temperatures up to four hundred degrees Celsius and is not joined to the borosilicate glass pane surface by melting.

  • Publication number: 20030232206
Abstract: A method for coating metal surfaces, excluding lithographic plates, includes either, in the sequence specified, (a) a step involving mechanical and/or chemical roughening of the metal surface to be coated; and a step involving coating of the roughened surface, wherein a layer with a thickness ranging from 100 nm to less than 1 &mgr;m is applied, or introducing a secondary phase as the roughening step at the same time as the coating step, wherein a layer with a thickness ranging from 100 nm to less than 1 &mgr;m is applied. A component produced with the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20020059930
Abstract: A catalytic converter for use in an oven includes at least two sub-catalysts connected in series. One of the sub-catalysts includes a catalytically active metal layer as its active surface to improve the efficiency of the catalytic converter with respect to the elimination of unpleasant odors. The one sub-catalyst includes a metal oxide as its active surface. At least one other sub-catalyst includes, as its active surface, a metal layer selected from elements in groups 8 to 10 of the periodic table.
