Patent number: 9991639Abstract: A wafer connector is disclosed in which a plurality of twin-axial wires are terminated to the tails of ground and signal terminals of the connector. Each twin-axial wire includes a pair of signal wires enclosed in a conductive sheath. A conductive grounding clamp is provided that contacts the sheaths of the twin-axial wires and holds them together as a unit to facilitate the attachment of the wires to the connector terminal tails. The clamp has two opposing halves that cooperatively define openings which receive the twin-axial wires and flat, interconnecting portions extending between the openings that provide contact points where the grounding clamp may be attached to the connector terminal tails.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2017Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: Molex, LLCInventors: Javier Resendez, Michael Rost, Christopher Wanha, Frank Keyser

Patent number: 7867023Abstract: The present disclosure relates to electrical connectors and to header systems having such connectors. In one embodiment an electrical connector also known as a header can have two aligning and locating pegs for cooperating with alignment holes of the housing of a control module to accurately and precisely position header in a respective bay of the control module. The pegs of each header can have either unique cross-sectional shapes which can be reflected in respective alignment holes of housing, or can be uniquely positioned on the header which positioning is matched on the holes of the housing to permit each header to be accurately and precisely seated along the x-axis and the y-axis in only one bay and in only a desired front back orientation, or both. In this fashion, the terminals of the header, including its pins, are in position to engage openings in a PCB or other connector.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2009Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Frank Keyser, Robert M. Publication number: 20050095922Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a support structure, with a molded plastic connector housing overmolded about an interface area between the support structure and the connector housing. A compliant layer is deposited between the support structure and the overmolded connector housing over the interface area to fill and seal the interface area when the molded plastic housing cures.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2003Publication date: May 5, 2005Inventors: Paul Berg, Frank Keyser, Jonathan Lohman

Publication number: 20040134976Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for providing a solder joint between a pair of electrical devices which have juxtapositionable solderable portions. A solder material is provided between the solderable portions at the solder joint. A spacer material is suspended in the solder material to maintain the electrical devices spaced a predetermined distance from each other at the solder joint. The spacer material has a melting point higher than that of the solder material.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2003Publication date: July 15, 2004Inventors: Frank Keyser, Robert Fuerst

Patent number: 4564350Abstract: The plastic extruder assembly is of the type that includes an extruder barrel assembly and an extruder die chamber in the distal end of the extruder barrel assembly. The die chamber has means for receiving and mounting a die assembly therein and the die assembly has die holes extending therethrough to an outer face. A layer of insulating material is provided beneath the outer die face at least in the area of the die holes for inhibiting if not altogether preventing freezing of the plastic in the die holes. Also, radial and circumferential hot oil passageways are provided in the die assembly and the die holes are offset in either a concentric array or a series of spirals.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1985Date of Patent: January 14, 1986Assignee: Thomas R. VigilInventors: George Holmes, Frank Keyser

Patent number: 4529370Abstract: The pelletizer comprises a chamber having a first side and a second side coupled to an extruder. A shaft extends through the first side into the chamber, a rotatable cutter assembly is mounted to the end of the shaft in the chamber and a die assembly is mounted at the second side of the chamber and has a die face facing into the chamber. The cutter assembly is positioned for rotation adjacent the die face. A prime mover is coupled to the shaft for rotating the cutter assembly. Plastic material is extruded through holes in the die assembly into the chamber as the cutter assembly is rotated to cut plastic streams coming out of the die assembly into pellets. A position control assembly automatically controls the position of the cutter assembly adjacent the die face. The cutter assembly has a plurality of cutting blades mounted thereon.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1981Date of Patent: July 16, 1985Assignee: Thomas R. VigilInventors: George Holmes, Frank Keyser
