Abstract: A window blind for privacy includes slats made of transparent material having an embossed pattern and a printed pattern thereon sufficient to decrease the transparency of the slat and obscure visibility through the slats while maintaining a high degree of translucency. The lift cord is positioned outside of the slats, and the slats are constructed to close without exposing significant voids there through that are not overlapped by an adjacent slat. A valance is formed from slats and overlaps spaces that may occur above and below the head rail.
