  • Patent number: 11980437
Abstract: A holding element for a drape for a surgical microscope is provided. The holding element has a holding ring and a recess located in the holding ring for an interface of the surgical microscope. The holding ring has an asymmetrical contour delimiting the recess such that in a condition in which the holding element is fastened to the surgical microscope there is only one possible fastening position of the holding element on the interface of the surgical microscope that corresponds to the contour of the holding ring, in which position an orientation of the holding element relative to the surgical microscope is defined.

  • Publication number: 20230339693
Abstract: Airport luggage carousels are usually operated in a run-to-failure approach that necessarily leads to failures. Anomalies are detected during operation of a conveyor system having a revolving drive chain, a drive unit and a conveyor belt. The drive chain serves to transmit force and motion from a drive unit to a conveyor belt, and has chain elements and pins connecting them. At least one of the pins is a force measurement pin that registers the forces acting thereon during movement of the drive chain. The registered forces are transmitted wirelessly to the background system together with a timestamp and/or a location stamp and an identity of the force measurement pin. The transmitted data are analyzed in the background system and, in the event of deviations, identified as an anomaly and signaled by a notification. The measurement results are evaluated to derive maintenance measures in a targeted manner.

  • Patent number: 8042677
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for dynamic optimization of the gaps between objects transported serially on a conveyor, in particular the transport of pieces of luggage in luggage transport systems in airports. According to the invention, in order to achieve an optimal usage of the transport system, the separation between two adjacent objects for transporting is recorded by sensor and provided to an analytical unit as measured values for determination of a correction value for temporary alteration of the speed of a transporter supporting only one object, arranged between two adjacent transporters.

  • Publication number: 20080308388
Abstract: The invention relates to an aircraft baggage conveyor system having containers which are of different sizes and are provided for holding and transporting pieces of baggage with different dimensions. In order to differentiate the containers of different sizes within the system and to ensure that they can be stopped reliably using simple means and in a more precisely positioned fashion than in the past taking into account their differences in length and size, it is proposed that, in order to detect and to control preferably the oversized containers within the aircraft baggage conveyor system, a magnetic sensor system is provided between the container belt and the container.

  • Publication number: 20080060911
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an aircraft baggage conveyor system having containers which are provided for holding and for transporting pieces of baggage and which can be moved successively through the system on individually controllable conveyor sections. In order to prevent stop signals which are implemented too early or too late from leading to faults in the system as a result of cycle time tolerances and in order to permit the containers t6 be stopped in the system in the correct position and without delay using simple means, it is proposed that the stop signal for stopping the container be fed directly to a relay by means of which the drive of the conveyor section which is occupied by the container to be stopped is switched off immediately.

  • Patent number: 7032740
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for automatically sensing the wear state of movable wheels or rollers (1) in conveying systems, for example baggage conveying systems. It achieves the object of easily and reliably sensing the wear state in an automatic fashion using measuring equipment when the roller to be checked runs through the system, by means of a measuring station (2,3) which is arranged in a stationary fashion in the conveying path of the system and in which diameter deviations of the wheel or of the roller (1) from a predefined set point diameter can be sensed in a contactless fashion and signaled.
