  • Patent number: 7686958
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing at least one chemical reaction product by chemically reacting one or several reactants that is/are optionally dissolved in one or several solvents and is/are supplied as a feed stream by bringing the same in contact with a heterogeneous catalyst in a continuously operated fixed-bed reactor which is filled with a particle bed, a continuous annular chromatograph (CAC) that is filled with the particle bed being used as a fixed-bed reaction in which the at least one reaction product is formed and purified while the at least one purified reaction product as well as optionally provided secondary products and/or non-reacted reactants are withdrawn at a different, predetermined azimuthal position of the annular chromatograph, respectively. The inventive method is characterized in that only one type of particle material is used in a single particle bed as both a formation catalyst and a chromatographic medium for purifying the at least one reaction product in the particle bed.

  • Publication number: 20060139031
Abstract: A sensor for sensing an electric field includes a movable sensor probe including one or more pair, typically three pair, of electrically conductive electrodes, and may include one or more pair of selectively switchable auxiliary electrodes. The probe is movable and may be mounted on a vehicle or trailer. A processor may process electric field signals from the probe for providing a human perceivable indication of the electric field. The processor may perform a Fast Fourier Transform of the electric field signals to produce an indication of the magnitude of the electric field, and may perform unweighted and/or weighted averaging in relation to processing electric field data, setting a comparison threshold, providing a human perceivable indication, or a combination of the foregoing. A speed at which the sensor probe is moving may be utilized in processing the data.

  • Publication number: 20060036057
Abstract: A phosphoric ester demulsifier composition prepared by reacting one or more alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin alkoxylates or one or more polyalkylene glycols, or a mixture thereof, with about 0.001 to about 1.0 molar equivalents of one or more phosphorous compounds selected from phosphorous oxychloride, phosphorous pentoxide and phosphoric acid and a method of using the demulsifier composition to resolve water-in-oil emulsions.

  • Publication number: 20050072801
Abstract: A multi-compartmented propel container is provided for a viscous product, such as gels, creams, etc. that maintain separate certain components of the product during storage and allows combination of the components just prior to use. The container includes multiple compartments and a turning mechanism that propels the components of the product simultaneously from the separate compartments into a dispensing outlet where the components come together in admixture and are then ready for application by a user. The turning mechanism also can be structured to allow for repel of the product components, if desired.

  • Patent number: 5597229
Abstract: A decorative lighting arrangement includes a support, especially a stake driven into the ground, and a lighting fixture including a socket and a light bulb mounted in the socket. A coupling connects the lighting fixture to the support so that the light bulb and at least a predominant portion of the socket are disposed upwardly of an upper region of the support to be visible thereat.

  • Patent number: 5581956
Abstract: An arrangement for mounting decorative lights on a variety of external building structures, including roof shingles, soffits, vinyl or metal gutters or the like, includes a mounting member having a support portion including at least one substantially cylindrical confining portion for receiving a portion of the respective decorative light. The mounting member further includes a mounting portion including a central portion extending substantially along the same plane as the support portion, and a pair of angled lateral portions flanking the central portion and extending out of the plane and back to it as considered in a direction away from the support portion. The central portion and the pair of lateral portions are operative for engaging oppositely facing surfaces of the respective building structure to at least frictionally detain the mounting member and, thus, the decorative light in place on the building structure.

  • Patent number: 5577698
Abstract: An arrangement for mounting decorative items on cylindrical supports available at the premises to be decorated includes an elongated strap that is flexible for winding around the respective cylindrical support, and a fixture secured to one end of the strap and carrying a hook-shaped formation for suspending the decorative item therefrom. The strap has a series of ratchet-type teeth on one of its major surfaces, and the fixture has an aperture for the passage of the strap therethrough after having been wound around the cylindrical support. The fixture also includes a pawl-type holding member mounted thereon for pivoting between an engaging position in which it engages at the aperture behind one of the teeth of the strap, and a releasing position in which it frees the strap for unimpeded passage through the aperture.
