Abstract: A mechanism is provided for context based search disambiguation using existing category taxonomy. A client provides additional cues for search term disambiguation through the context of the specific user's browser. A bookmark or favorites data structure is sent along with the search term(s) to be disambiguated. The bookmark data structure acts as pre-existing category taxonomy for a clustering search engine to classify the results of the search. A viewed content history may also be sent along with the search terms to be disambiguated. The viewed content history acts as a cue to a clustering search engine to display as more relevant the results that are classified in the same category as the pages sent along with the search terms.

Abstract: An audio broadcast creation client applies the concept of style sheets to audio data intended for audio broadcasts. The creation client associates style sheet elements to sections of the audio broadcast. An audio broadcast rendering engine applies the style sheet elements at runtime to alter or enhance sections of the audio broadcast. Different style sheets may be applied to the same raw audio broadcast data to alter the end result. A template is provided for generating audio broadcasts. The user may record the appropriate audio files and refer to these audio files in fields of the audio broadcast template.

The end user reads the converted data item in the different protocol. The invention system enables the user to reply or otherwise further handle the data item in the initial protocol as desired. The monitoring software for the system may recognize an error or other event in a component that is being monitored. The monitoring software then sends a message to all administrators that may be associated with the error or event. When an administrator receives an alert, the administrator may choose to join a collaborative resolution session. When a plurality of administrators joins a collaborative resolution session, each administrator is presented with a user interface at his or her console. The user interface may present one or more shared system administration elements, such as system administration portals, and one or more collaboration elements, such as instant messaging elements or the like. Participating administrators may then communicate using the collaboration elements to attempt to resolve an error or other event. Users may share additional system administration elements.

A graphical user interface (GUI) is provided for instant messaging between client devices. The GUI operates in conjunction with a context analysis engine that automatically analyzes the context of the textual messages being exchanged between the users and retrieves resources that correspond to the detected context. Representations of these automatically identified resources may be presented to the user via the GUI. The user of the GUI may enter text messages into the GUI and may select individual ones of the retrieved resources for transmission in association with the text messages. Furthermore, an automated mechanism may be used to select resources to attach to individual text messages entered by the user.
