The vehicle seat has a control device in connection with an adjusting device which have the purpose of implementing that, during a folding of the rear seat backrest, the seat part is displaced forward in the driving direction and lowered, and the backrest is then part of a loading surface which is constructed at the same level as the remaining loading surface of the vehicle.
