  • Publication number: 20200381071
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method of simulating a memory-based communication protocol for testing a simulated device. The method includes storing data in known locations of a host data buffer, where the host data buffer is implemented in a shared memory space, executing instructions of a first program to store a command in the shared memory space using a data structure including an index, an ID, and a memory location, executing instructions of a second program to read the command from the host data buffer, access the data in the shared memory space to perform an operation defined by the ID using the data, where a location of the data is indicated by the index, and send a completion indicator to the first program after the operation is complete.

  • Publication number: 20200167682
Abstract: A method, computer program product and computer system to generate safety alerts is provided. A processor retrieves a plurality of measurements associated with a location. A processor determines a set of features based on the plurality of measurements. A processor identifies a set of membership functions for the set of features. A processor determines a safety index for the body of water based on the set of membership functions and one or more input value ranges for the set of features. In response to the safety index being above a threshold value, a processor sends an alert to one or more users regarding the location.

  • Patent number: 9640175
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for adding entries to a custom lexicon used by a speech recognition engine of a speech interface in response to user interaction with the speech interface. In one embodiment, a speech signal is obtained when the user speaks a name of a particular item to be selected from among a finite set of items. If a phonetic description of the speech signal is not recognized by the speech recognition engine, then the user is presented with a means for selecting the particular item from among the finite set of items by providing input in a manner that does not include speaking the name of the item. After the user has selected the particular item via the means for selecting, the phonetic description of the speech signal is stored in association with a text description of the particular item in the custom lexicon.
