  • Publication number: 20100140334
Abstract: A pouring spout for adhesive-free attachment to a container with an aperture is provided. The pouring spout has a chute with a front face and a back, side walls extending away from the chute in a direction away from the front face to form the spout, and one or more detents on each side wall in the interior of the spout for securing the spout to a tab on the container. The pouring spout is preferably one piece and is connected to the container without the use of glues or adhesives or any other structural features except for the detents on the side walls of the spout.

  • Publication number: 20050174010
Abstract: A motor housing assembly includes a motor housing with two magnets disposed in the housing in a spaced relationship and a brush holder that couples with the motor housing. The magnets are disposed inside the motor housing to form two spaces in between the magnets. The brush holder has two tabs that extend inside the motor housing in between the two spaces. The tabs allow the brushes in the brush holder to be aligned solely based on the magnet position to ensure that there is proper angular alignment between the brushes and the magnets.

  • Patent number: 6356004
Abstract: A combination brush retainer/spring assembly for use in a DC motor includes a retaining ring and a conical spring connected together as a single unit. The retaining ring portion is designed to fit in a center hole of a brush holder to retain a plurality of spring-loaded brushes against their spring bias so that an armature shaft and commutator can pass through the center hole without obstruction. When the commutator passes through the center hole, it pushes the retaining ring free, allowing the brushes to spring back toward the center hole to contact the commutator. The spring portion of the assembly has an end that engages with a ball bearing on the armature shaft with enough force to ensure that the armature shaft and ball bearing rotate at the same angular velocity and without slippage.

  • Patent number: 6351088
Abstract: A wiper drive apparatus includes a drive gear rotated by a motor, a lead frame carried on a cover attachable to the motor or motor gear and including a circumferentially of discrete conductive traces, and a park switch bridge rotatably mounted on the cover and carrying a circumferentially of spaced contacts, each slidable over conductive traces to open and close a circuit to the drive motor as the park switch bridge is engaged by and rotated by the drive gear. Each contact is carried on a beam projecting from a circumferentially of radially extending arms forming the park switch bridge. A drive pin carried on the drive gear engages successive arms to rotate the park switch bridge 90° for each revolution of the drive gear to bring a different contact into electrical connection with the conductive traces without requiring additional tooling for the lead frame or the park switch bridge itself.

  • Patent number: 4637856
Abstract: An apparatus and process for etching fluoroplastics is disclosed. A fluoroplastic film, sheet or tape is passed under an etchant distribution means comprised of an annularly shaped and hollow main body having a series of openings therethrough. Attached to the main body are a series of annularly shaped hollow extension legs in parallel alignment with one another and in communication with said openings in the main body. Etchant is fed into the main body and by action of gravity flows into and through the hollow channels of the extension legs, exiting at the base of the extension legs, and being distributed evenly onto the side of the fluoroplastic passing under the etching distribution means. The etching distribution means also includes first and second sponge means attached to the main body on opposite sides thereof.
