  • Patent number: 9707657
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine tool as well as to a method for operating the machine tool. The machine tool comprises a workpiece carrier (20) that can be incrementally rotated about an incremental advance axis (22) and has several carrier sides (25). A first workpiece chuck unit (26) for holding a workpiece in a first position (P1) and a second workpiece chuck unit (27) for holding a workpiece in a second position (P2) are arranged on each carrier side (25). In each angular position or incremental advance position of the workpiece carrier (20), one carrier side (25) is in a loading station (30), one carrier side (25) is in an unloading station 31, and the respectively other carrier sides (25) are in respectively one work station (32). A workpiece changing device (34) is provided, said device moving a partially machined workpiece (16a) out of the first position (P1) in the unloading station (31) into the second position (P2) in the loading station.

  • Patent number: 8100546
Abstract: A sculpted decorative object, such as a Christmas tree, is shown which has a motor driven vertical drive shaft and three rotating sections. Rotation of the vertical drive shaft and an associated drive gear causes relative rotation of a driven gear and, in turn, a respective rotating section of the object about the axis of the drive shaft. A fiber optic bundle is mounted within each rotating section of the object. Each bundle contains several fiber optic strands which terminate at a LED light source at one end and at a light emitting element at an opposite end. Each LED light source is supplied from a common electrical source by means of a series of wiper contacts and rotatable contact rings carried by respective stationary and rotating portions of the sculpted object.

  • Patent number: 5489909
Abstract: A sensor arrangement for an active member, especially such as a landmine which is deployed against ground and airborne target objects, including a waking or proximity sensor which is responsive to the approach of a target object. A high degree in the precision of direction-finding, in addition to target classification; can be achieved by means of a larger passive bearing or direction-finding base, such as can be set up through the positioning of at least three microphones about the mine or at a certain distance from the mine. Hereby, such a passive acoustic direction-finding or bearing base evidences the advantage in contrast with essentially the active high-frequency direction-finding, in that the mine cannot be located from the target object and thus is able to remain in constant operation upon the activation of a waking or proximity sensor without any danger of the mine having its presence betrayed.
