  • Patent number: 6962032
Abstract: There is described a packaging machine (1) for producing sealed packages (2) of a pourable food product from a strip (6) of heat-seal sheet packaging material. The packaging material (1) has a number of photocells (14), which are programmable externally as regards their setting parameters, are positioned facing the strip (6) of packaging material to detect optically detectable elements on the strip, and have setting means (26, 210, 300). The packaging machine (1) also has a control unit (16) connected to the photocells (14) and having enabling means (24) for enabling the setting means of a specific photocell (14), data downloading means (26, 240, 310) for downloading off the specific photocell (14) the setting parameters of the photocell, and data uploading means (26, 260, 330) for uploading onto the other photocells (14) setting parameters calculated as a function of the setting parameters downloaded off the specific photocell (14).

  • Publication number: 20040035883
Abstract: The invention relates to an opening device for packaging containers that comprises at least one base element, which is placed on an opening of the container and which, in particular, completely surrounds the edge area of the opening on the outside and/or inside of the container. The opening device also comprises a covering element, which can be placed on the base element in order to cover the opening of the container. Said covering element has joining means for joining the covering element to the base element once the base element has been placed on the container, and has functional means for performing a predetermined function. The covering element advantageously comprises snap, detent, clamping, hinged or screw joining means for joining to the base element and, as a functional means, can comprise, for example, a closure part for reclosing the opening, a protective part for protecting the base element or a safety seal, which is irreversibly changed the first time the packaging container is opened.

  • Patent number: 6526733
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for aligning a packing material tube (1) with a treatment station in a packaging machine in which a tube (1) with a circular cross-section is produced from a strip of printed packaging material having embossed lines. Said tube is closed by longitudinally sealing it, filled and shaped in a cross-sealing unit (12) and divided into cuboid packages. The unit (12) is provided with an adjustable lift of stroke so that it intermittently convey the tube (1). It is also provided on diametrical sides with a folding flap (16) that can be pivoted about an axis (15). For feeling the position mark, a sensor is arranged. The aim of the invention is to facilitate a faster termination of the initial phase when the packaging machine is put into operation while at the same time producing less cuttings and to prevent the paper tube from being damaged. To this end, a folding finger (19) is arranged upstream of every folding flap (16).
