Patent number: 8115131Abstract: A switch for selectively establishing a first conductive way between a first conductive fixed contact and a second conductive fixed contact or a second conductive way between the first conductive fixed contact and a third conductive fixed contact. The switch includes a housing and a pushbutton extending out of the housing and comprising a driving portion formed by an extension extending into the housing, the pushbutton being arranged, when an external force is applied to the pushbutton, to be moved relative to the housing between a first pushbutton active position in which the first conductive way is established and a second pushbutton active position in which the second conductive way is established.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2009Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: CoActive Technologies, LLCInventor: Frank Mark Domzalski

Publication number: 20100155211Abstract: A snap switch may include a housing, a lever having a handle portion and a base portion, a contact component having a first contact and a spring having a first end and a second end. The first end may be secured to the housing, the second end may be secured to the contact component, and a base portion of the lever may surround at least a first portion of the spring. The snap switch may include a first terminal component that may have a first prong and a second prong that may define an opening through which a second portion of the spring may be received. The snap switch may include a second terminal component that may have a second contact.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2008Publication date: June 24, 2010Applicant: COACTIVE TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventor: Frank Mark Domzalski

Publication number: 20080223709Abstract: The present invention provides a float level switch featuring a housing; an actuator shaft arranged in the housing; and a low force shaft seal assembly arranged between the actuator shaft and the housing, having a combination of disks or seals, one being made of a semi-rigid lubricious material, for maintaining a watertight seal with a substantially reduced rotational force or friction on the actuator shaft than a conventional O-ring.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2007Publication date: September 18, 2008Inventors: Kevin J. Leary, Frank Mark Domzalski

Patent number: 7271359Abstract: A fluid height sensor (10) includes a float (14) with an arm (20) fixed to a shaft (40) that extends into a cavity (30) in a housing (12). A switch assembly (32) in the housing includes a switch (50) formed by a largely stationary blade (52) and by a moveable switch blade (54) that moves forward (F) and rearward (R), respectively against and away from the stationary blade. The switch assembly also includes an activator (56) for snapping the switch blade as the shaft pivots back and forth. The activator (56) includes an activation blade (58) that is moved back and forth by the shaft, and a leaf spring (90) that extends in a loop between the outer ends of the activation blade and of the switch blade. The leaf spring compresses the switch blade by urging its outer end (74) towards its inner end (72), to cause the moveable blade to overshoot when it passes a center position in its forward and rearward movement.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2005Date of Patent: September 18, 2007Assignee: ITT Manufacturing Enterprises, Inc.Inventor: Frank Mark Domzalski

Patent number: 6974924Abstract: A low cost miniature illuminated pushbutton switch 10 for soldering to a circuit board (23), which avoids damage to an LED during such soldering to the board. The pushbutton assembly, which slides between outward and inward positions, includes a molded plastic frame (32), sheet metal pushbutton conductors (60, 62, 64) mounted on the frame, and an LED (36) having a bulb (74) lying forward of the frame and having leads (40, 42) joined to front ends of two of the pushbutton conductors. The pushbutton assembly also has a pushbutton depressing element (44) with a through passage (130) that surrounds the bulb and extends forward of the bulb, the pushbutton element having an inward end (132) that joins to the pushbutton frame through lugs (136).Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2004Date of Patent: December 13, 2005Assignee: ITT Manufacturing Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: William Joseph Agnatovech, Frank Mark Domzalski

Patent number: 6459057Abstract: A sealed, pushbutton, single pole, normally closed switch for soldering to a printed circuit board. The switch operates by pushing an actuator that compresses a spring and breaks continuity between two terminals by moving a spring contact, disposed in the head of the actuator, away from the terminals. An O-ring is provided in an annular groove around a shaft of the actuator for sealing the switch between the actuator and a cover without significantly changing the actuator force, and the bottom of the switch has an epoxy seal. The method of assembling the sealed switch components is simple and low cost.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2000Date of Patent: October 1, 2002Assignee: ITT Manufacturing Enterprises, Inc.Inventor: Frank Mark Domzalski
