  • Publication number: 20220044183
Abstract: An engineer recertification assistant that utilizes a real-time data acquisition and recording system (DARS), a DARS viewer, and a video analytics system for mobile assets. DARS includes a data recorder, an onboard data manager, and at least one local memory module. The video analytics system processes video data from at least one camera and operational data from the data recorder for critical events and regulatory requirements based on a mobile asset operator's operational performance. The processed video data and operational data is display, along with episodes, exceptions, and user comments, on a display device featuring a web portal. The engineer recertification assistant can further determine an automated score-based recommendation for certification or decertification of the mobile asset operator or can directly certify or decertify the mobile asset operator for gross non-compliance.

  • Patent number: 6673758
Abstract: A decarbonization formulation for removing carbon deposits and the like, and method of application therefore. The preferred embodiment of the present invention teaches a method for removing carbon deposits from an internal combustion engine and composition therefore wherein there is utilized a solution comprising water and glycol ether based brake fluid in about a 50/50 ratio. The preferred brake fluid utilized in the present invention is H-121 Premium Plus Brake Fluid by Cooper Industries, Wagner Brake Division of St. Louis, Mo. The solution is chilled to about 40-50 degrees and about one pint is added in liquid form to the air intake with the engine running at about 2000 rpms over a period of about one minute. The concentration, temperature of the fluid, and rate of application can vary depending upon the size and type of engine.

  • Patent number: 6186967
Abstract: An elevation support for elevating a human limb of a patient to a desired elevation, including a body having a longitudinal aperture therethrough and an insertion opening for receiving at least a portion of the limb, wherein the body is shaped and sized so as to permit concomitant rolling motion along a support surface when the patient exerts a rotational force on the body via the inserted limb while maintaining the limb at the desired elevation.

  • Patent number: 4209075
Abstract: A shoulder strap for the driver of an automotive vehicle is used as a safety device for automatically braking the vehicle, de-energizing the ignition circuit and energizing a warning signal in the event the driver slumps in his seat because of sickness, injury, sleepiness, unconsciousness, or other incapacitating conditions rendering him incapable of properly operating the vehicle. Certain components of the vehicle are controlled whenever the slumping is sufficient to apply tension to the strap against the action of a spring connected with the strap. An extension of the strap beyond the operator's shoulder is readily accessible to passengers for actuation in the event they notice any tendency by the operator to become incapacitated, thereby preventing accidents and consequent injury or death to the occupants and others outside the vehicle.
