  • Publication number: 20240083770
Abstract: A method for operating an on-board water supply and distribution system of an aircraft for supplying water includes a central tank, consumer assemblies with a supply device and a buffer tank, pump operable in a supply mode and reverse mode, filter device, and high-pressure conduit system. The central tank connects to the pump's upstream side. The conduit system connects the downstream side and consumer assemblies. The pump in supply mode delivers water from the downstream side to the buffer tank. In reverse mode, the pump can convey water from the downstream side to the upstream side. The method includes operating the pump in supply mode so water from the central tank goes to a consumer assembly in a first time interval to fill the buffer tank, and operating the pump in reverse mode in a second time interval so water from the buffer tank passes through the filter device.

  • Publication number: 20240034295
Abstract: A method for operating a braking system for a motor vehicle, including a service brake unit and the service brake unit is activated to generate a brake force on a wheel axle of the motor vehicle at least temporarily as a function of a setting of an operating element. The generation of the brake force is performed using a calibration data set stored in a control unit of the braking system. An identifier stored in the operating element is transmitted to the control unit and used for a compatibility check. If the compatibility check is successful, a configuration of the operating element takes place and a generic data set stored in the control unit is used as the calibration data set and an operating element-specific data set stored in the operating element is transmitted to the control unit and used as a calibration data set after the transmission.

  • Publication number: 20230384626
Abstract: A system for switching and collating light contains a focusing lens that focuses a laser. A first linear polarizer receives the focused beam and transmits the focused beam incoming light, polarized at plus 45 degrees, to a Pockels cell. The Pockels cell contains: a first Pockels cell crystal that follows the first linear polarizer; a first internal birefringent crystal plate that compensates for birefringence of the first Pockels cell crystal; a second internal birefringent compensation crystal plate that follows the first plate; and a second Pockels cell crystal, that follows the second plate. The second plate considerably compensates for birefringence of the second Pockels cell crystal. A second linear polarizer receives light from the Pockels cell and transmits light best if the light is polarized at minus 45 degrees to an optical fiber.

  • Patent number: 11709521
Abstract: Synthetizing a hardware description language code into a netlist comprising loads and a multi-clock buffer (MBUF). The MBUF receives a global clocking signal and generates a first and a second related clocking signals. The loads are grouped into a first and a second groups receiving the first and the second clocking signals respectively. A first/second clock modifying leaf are placed between a common node and the first/group groups respectively, wherein the common node is positioned closer in proximity to the first/second groups in comparison to a clock source generating the global clocking signal. The first/second clock modifying leaves receive a least divided clocking signal from the MBUF and generate the first/second clocking signals respectively. The least divided clocking signal is routed from the MBUF to the first/second clock modifying leaves. The first/second clocking signals are routed from the first/second clock modifying leaves to the first/second group respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230148915
Abstract: The present invention relates to devices and methods for uptaking and analyzing sweat from a skin of a user. In particular, it is proposed to provide a variability in the size of the sweat sensor inlets (102, 103, 104), which can be used for improving the determination of sweat parameters like for example determining the number of active sweat glands The variability in the size of the inlets (102, 103, 104) with which the sweat sensor (100) uptakes the sweat from the user's skin (111) can be achieved by having either plurality of inlets wherein at least some of them have different opening sizes and to use the differently sized inlets based in different situations. Alternatively, one or more inlets may have openings with variable cross-sectional area, like e.g. an adjustable diameter of their opening, and also a combination of these two alternatives is of course possible.
