  • Patent number: 8197145
Abstract: A revolving joint comprising at least one anti-friction bearing and an electromotive drive unit. The anti-friction bearing is in contact with at least one row of rolling bodies arranged in a row rotating the joint around the rotational axis of the anti-friction bearing. The rolling bodies are in contact with at least one race that can be driven to rotate by the drive unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 4, 2005
Date of Patent: June 12, 2012
    Assignee: Schaeffler KG
Inventors: Frank Neubert, Franz-Josef Ebert, Jurgen Klutsch, Gerold Strum
  • Patent number: 8092094
Abstract: A rolling bearing slewing connection comprising two race rings arranged concentrically in each other, between which race rings rolling elements roll on associated raceways, one of the race rings having a flexible configuration wherein, as viewed in a longitudinal section, the flexible race ring has a weakened configuration, so that a radial, elastic deformation that is so large that the rolling elements are pre-stressed in the loaded state in the entire peripheral region is possible.

Date of Patent: January 10, 2012
    Assignee: Schaeffler KG

  • Publication number: 20020070504
Abstract: A seal for a track roller bearing, the bearing including an outer ring an inner ring and a bearing arrangement of rolling bodies or of a sliding body between the bearing rings. A respective thrust washer at each lateral side of the outer ring and extending radially past the bearing arrangement. A circumferential groove around the periphery of the thrust washers. A respective seal between the outer ring and each thrust washer, the seal including a first axially extending leg with a shoulder in the groove in the thrust washer and including a second obliquely radially and axially outwardly extending leg terminating in a sealing lip which is received in a recess in the outer ring. An annular shoulder defines the axial outside of the recess and the inner surface of the shoulder is gap spaced from the lip enabling the oblique arm to deflect outwardly upon over pressure of the bearing.
