  • Patent number: 11141792
Abstract: A processing machine includes a plurality of radiating modules disposed in a row, and a process chamber module configured to releasably attach to the plurality of radiating modules. The process chamber module includes a process chamber defining a processing field, a construction platform, a powder coater, and a powder reservoir. The powder coater is configured to apply a powder material layer-by-layer in a direction of the construction platform within the processing field. The powder reservoir is configured to infeed the powder material to the powder coater. Each radiating module includes a respective energy beam source configured to generate an energy beam, and a respective beam guide configured to guide the energy beam in a direction of the construction platform within a portion of the processing field. The portions of the processing field of two adjacent radiating modules partially overlap.

  • Patent number: 11135680
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media for producing at least one portion of a layer of a three-dimensional component by irradiating at least one powder layer by at least one high-energy beam, e.g., a laser beam are disclosed. The methods include irradiating the powder layer by the at least one high-energy beam in a processing field, wherein the at least one high-energy beam is moved in a continuous oscillating movement over the powder layer in a first direction to produce a line-shaped irradiation region in which the powder layer is melted, and wherein the line-shaped irradiation region is moved over the powder layer in a second direction that differs from the first to produce the portion of the layer of the three-dimensional component.

  • Patent number: 11123931
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a methods and devices for producing three-dimensional objects by a beam acting on and selectively solidifying a construction material applied layer by layer. The devices include at least one process chamber, which has a building platform on which the three-dimensional object is created, a radiation source for producing the beam, at least one beam guiding element, and a process assisting device movable above the building platform and having a first and second module with a beam guiding portion arranged between for the beam that is directed onto the building platform. Each module has at least one application device for discharging construction material and a monitoring device with at least one sensor element for sensing the applied and solidified layer of construction material.

  • Patent number: 11007576
Abstract: An irradiating device for irradiating a machining field with a machining beam, in particular with a laser beam, for carrying out a welding process, is provided. The irradiating device includes a beam scanner for aligning the machining beam to a machining position in the machining field. The irradiating device has an imaging device for imaging a part-region of the machining field on a pyrometer which has at least two pyrometer segments. The imaging device images thermal radiation which emanates from the machining position in the machining field on a first pyrometer segment, and images thermal radiation which emanates from a position in the machining field being situated ahead of or behind the machining position along an advancing direction of the machining beam in the machining field on at least one second pyrometer segment. A machine tool having such an irradiating device is also provided.
