Abstract: There are disclosed measures of address assignment for a network element being operable in a multi-level network, comprising retrieving a network prefix of said multi-level network and network prefix information including at least one of a top-level indication, a suffix length parameter and a maximum prefix length parameter, generating a first address in accordance with a topology of said multi-level network on the basis of said retrieved network prefix and network prefix information, and assigning said generated address to an egress interface of said network element.

Abstract: A method for managing a mobile network having local mobile nodes and a mobile router for routing packets amongst said local mobile nodes and to and from another packet routing network comprises the steps of, in response to a recognized indication condition indicating that a local mobile node left the mobile network, notifying one or more components in the mobile accordingly, and in one or more of the components of the mobile network, adapting one or more settings in accordance with said notification.

The method comprises receiving a suspend command in the Media Independent Handover Function (300), detecting the suspend command in the Media Independent Handover Function (300) and suspending the network connection. Furthermore the method comprises receiving a resume command in the Media Independent Handover Function (300), detecting the resume command in the Media Independent Handover Function (300) and resuming the network connection.

Abstract: An arrangement for enabling network operators (typically mobile network operators) to dynamically trade capacity on their systems is described, thereby enabling such operators to fill their network capacity with traffic from other providers and also enabling service providers that have either insufficient or no network infrastructure to lease capacity from network operators. Network capacity is allocated between operators on the basis of both desired capacity and predetermined resources allocation rules.
