    Abstract: A draw or ironing die assembly includes a housing having a minimum modulus of elasticity of 50,000,000 p.s.i. and an axial hole therethrough. A die wear ring of greater elastic modulus and greater hardness is shrunk fit into the axial hole. Tungsten carbide is a suitable material for each part.
