  • Patent number: 8402902
Abstract: An apparatus for the production of rectangular mattress plates from a length of material includes a base frame, a feed drive for feeding the length of material in a transport direction (A), two lateral sewing stations, each provided with a longitudinal sewing head for producing a lateral seam and with a longitudinal cutter, a transverse sewing station provided with a transverse sewing head and a transverse cutter that can be moved along a crossbeam, and a control device for controlling the feed drive, the transverse drive, the lateral sewing stations, and the transverse sewing station. The lateral sewing stations are each pivotable by a rotary drive about an axis extending perpendicularly with regard to the plane of a transport path of the material and moveable along crossbeams by a translatory drive. The translatory drive and the rotary drive are controllable by the control device in coordination with the feed drive.

Abstract: An apparatus for the production of rectangular mattress plates from a length of material (18) which is continuously fed to the apparatus includes a base frame (10) with a transport path (16) for the length of material (18), a feed drive (24) for feeding the length of material (18) in a transport direction (A), two lateral sewing stations (28) which are arranged at an adjustable distance from each other on a crossbeam (26) of the base frame (10) directed transversely across the transport path (16) and which are each provided with a longitudinal sewing head (30) for producing a lateral seam and with a longitudinal cutter (32), a transverse sewing station (36) which is arranged on a crossbeam (34) of the base frame (10) directed transversely with regard to the transport direction (A) across the width of the transport path (16) such that it can be moved along said crossbeam and which is provided with a transverse sewing head (38) as well as a transverse cutter (40), a transverse drive for moving the transverse se

  • Patent number: 6973887
Abstract: In a chain stitch sewing mechanism with a sewing head movable parallel to the sewn material plane, including a needle rod with a needle drive for reciprocating a thread carrying needle, a catcher drive for reciprocating a needle shaped thread catcher with an open catching hook. The needle and thread catcher have movement paths forming a sharp angle with one another whose apex lies beneath the sewn material plane and the needle and catcher being so controlled such that a loop formed by the withdrawal of the needle is caught by the thread catcher and pulled through the material. A thread puller on a movable thread arm is moved towards the thread catcher and cooperates with the thread catcher for deflecting the loop hanging off the thread catcher at an angle to the movement path of the thread catcher toward the side opposite to that of the hook opening.

  • Patent number: 6688141
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for braiding cables, sheathings or similar workpieces comprising a braided strand chain consisting of a plurality of textile, metallic or similar braided strands, whereby the braided strand chain is produced by using a plurality of gripping elements which manipulate the braided strands. The gripping elements are controlled in such a way that one gripping element takes up the braided strand material of the gripping element positioned in front of the same.
