Abstract: A tow service location system for hiring a tow service for a stranded vehicle includes the internet and a global positioning system (gps). Operational software comprising a tow service location app is installed and operational on a smart device. The location app includes a dispatch algorithm that is in communication with the user and potential towing operators via the internet and the gps. Moreover, the dispatch algorithm is in communication with a plurality of tow services each being located within a pre-determined distance from the smart device. The smart device is in communication with the gps to establish the physical location of the user. The web-enabled tow service location app identifies all of the available tow services within the agreed-upon pre-determined radius of the user and the costs associated with the selection of the service.

Abstract: Providing a centralized process for accessing and implementing database management tools. These tools may be either developed by a vendor of the database management system, a third party, or by the enterprise implementing the database management tools. The system would include an interface between the user and the system that allows the user to indicate specific tasks to perform and provide a means for the user to receive and input information. The interface may support the development of specific job control messages that can be executed to implement a chosen task.

Abstract: A safety device for an electrode-type steam vaporizer having an electrode assembly enclosed in a protective housing allows access to the electrodes for cleaning or adjustment only when a key, preferably the electric plug for the vaporizer, is inserted through an opening in the protective housing to release an interlock mechanism normally precluding removal of the protective housing from the electrode assembly. When the protective housing is removed, the key is automatically locked in the opening in the protective housing by a spring-biased lock pin and cannot be removed until the electrode assembly is again repositioned in the housing with the electrode assembly and housing properly assembled relative to each other. The safety device can be used in other electrical appliances, such as a toaster, that have electrical elements enclosed in a protective housing.
