  • Patent number: 7311759
Abstract: A two-stage process is provided for purifying off-gases from a high-pressure melamine plant. In the first stage, the off-gases are contacted with a recirculated urea melt containing melamine precursors and NH3. In the second stage, the off-gases are contacted with a fresh urea melt.

  • Patent number: 7176309
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing melem-free melamine by means of aqueous processing of a melted mass of melamine which is obtained using a high-pressure method. According to the inventive method, the melted mass of melamine is quenched by means of an aqueous solution containing alkalis, following the isolation of the off-gases, and is directly transferred into an aqueous alkaline melamine solution, out of which the melamine is then crystallized. The invention thus enables melamine to be obtained, with a melam content of less than 1000 ppm and a melem content of less than 50 ppm. The invention also relates to a quenching agent.

  • Patent number: 7165643
Abstract: A forward-control counterweight fork-lift truck has a liftable and tiltable load-lifting device (1), a traction drive, operating drives, and a steering drive. A calculation model (D) based on vehicle-specific information is stored in a control device (SE). A plurality of sensors (S) detect physical variables (V, R, H, M, L, WM, WL, BL, BQ, G) relevant to the tipping behavior of the industrial truck. The control device (SE) determines a driving and load state (Z) based on the detected physical variables (V, R, H, M, L, WM, WL, BL, BQ, G) and the stored calculation model (D) and is operatively connected to the traction drive, the operating drives, and the steering drive such that, depending on the driving and load state (Z) determined, corrective interventions (K1, K2) which maintain or increase the tipping stability can be carried out.

  • Publication number: 20070010503
Abstract: As described herein, the present invention provides compounds useful for treating or lessening the severity of a neurodegenerative disorder. The present invention also provides methods of treating or lessening the severity of such disorders wherein said method comprises administering to a patient a compound of the present invention, or composition thereof. Said method is useful for treating or lessening the severity of, for example, Alzheimer's disease.

  • Patent number: 7086071
Abstract: The invention relates to a pick-up arm system for the reproduction or replay of records comprising a pick-up arm chassis and a pick-up arm tube. The torsion element suspension of the pick-up arm is axially stabilized by means of cylindrical permanent magnets which are arranged in a vertical direction and have opposite polarities, said elements forming a rotating bearing or a pivot. According to the invention, the torsion element runs in a congruent manner with respect to the vertical axis of rotation through the horizontal point of rotation of the receiving element for the tube of the pick-up arm. The lower part of the torsion element is connected to a permanent magnet which is connected to the receiving element for the pick-up arm or tube and the upper part of the torsion element is fixated attached to the upper chassis of the pick-up arm.

  • Patent number: 6462675
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a position of a vehicle is detected by a receiver at the vehicle from a global positioning system. A speed limit associated with the position is determined from a centralized database accessible via a wireless network. An actual speed of the vehicle at the detected position is compared with the determined speed limit for the detected position, such that if it is determined that the actual speed exceeds the determined speed limit at the detected position, the driver may be alerted.

  • Patent number: 6245328
Abstract: A mixture containing one stereoisomer of 3-hydroxyhexan-2-one and two stereoisomers of hexane-2,3-diol, especially (3R)-3-hydroxy-hexan-2-one, (2R,3R)-hexane-2,3-diol and/or (2R,3R)-hexane-2,3-diol and compositions containing them and the use of the mixture and of the compositions for controlling Hylotrupes bajulus and Pyrrhidium sanguineum by means of the monitoring, capture or mating disruption method are described.

  • Patent number: 5401697
Abstract: A method of processing water-sensitive ceramic powders, particularly carbothermically produced aluminum nitride, whereby the ceramic powder is deagglomerated in a dry milling step with addition of an alkylamine which is liquid at room temperature is disclosed. The alkylamine is added in an amount sufficient to produce a monomolecular layer on the surface of the ceramic powder. The deagglomerated powder subsequently is vigorously stirred with a concentrated aqueous solution or dispersion of binder and rapidly and gently dried, preferably by freeze drying. Aluminum nitride powder prepared by this process can be further processed into shaped parts with a high thermal conductivity.
