    Publication date: October 17, 2013
    Inventor: Frank Schubach
  • Patent number: 7416406
Abstract: Aspects of this invention include a furnace framework system which includes a framework with a first end piece, a second end piece and inter-connecting structural members operatively connecting the first end piece with the second end piece, with a combustion chamber housing and an exhaust manifold operatively attached to the framework by at least one expansion joint to allow limited relative movement between the combustion chamber housing and/or the exhaust manifold. The expansion joint may include a flange on at least one of the combustion chamber housing and the exhaust manifold retained between the first end piece and a structural retainer component.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20070099135
Abstract: A waste oil burner apparatus for improved control of the output flame of a waste oil burner, which includes a first waste oil supply conduit configured to receive waste oil; a supply pump operatively attached to the first oil supply conduit, and which is configured to receive waste oil from the first oil supply conduit and which pumps the waste oil into an intermediate oil conduit; a feed pump physically attached to heater or burner] operatively attached to the intermediate oil conduit to receive oil therefrom and to pump it to an oil feed conduit; and a waste oil burner with an atomization nozzle operatively connected to the oil feed conduit to receive oil and atomize the waste oil.

  • Patent number: 5724829
Abstract: Disclosed is a heating assembly and process for use with a chiller having a generator. A waste oil heater assembly is provided in combination with a source of compressed gas disposed in forced discharge relation to the generator to remove particulates from the generator. A means for controlling the acutuation of the source of compressed gas and an exhaust assembly with a particulate removal container are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5240405
Abstract: An improved system to control the flame, efficiency and flow rate in a waste oil feed system and burner. The system controller comprises a positive displacement waste oil pump, a variable speed motor connected to and driving said pump, and a motor speed control which control the speed of the motor, the speed of the pump and, consequently, the flow rate of the waste oil. Controlling the flow rate of the waste oil precisely allows the more efficient atomization and combustion of waste oils with different combustion and flow properties.

  • Patent number: 4877395
Abstract: An apparatus for a system control means to control the temperature and preheat of waste oil in a waste oil feed system and burner. The apparatus includes the combination of a heat transfer assembly with a helical passageway through a preheat means, a system control means, an anticipatory rate-proportional bank temperature control means, and an expansion pressure relief means for cold startup.
